I'm a total convert to the TrialSolutions levers. Another bonus is they don't get caught in the brush nearly as easily as normal levers when riding in the woods.

I run a 75 too, I used AI to do some equations for optimal bounce. it will then give you the perfect spring preload length.

@@TrialsProgression Sure, ChatGPT from Open AI, for example, put in your spring type, body weight, and characteristics, it will then create an equation..

I heard most trials bike suspension stock is setup for about 170 LBS. rider. I wonder what height of rider they are designed around?

Is there any reason you choose bar risers over high rise bars? That custom block looks like it would fail over time.
@TrialsProgression
@TrialsProgression 2 ай бұрын
Do they have a high rise bar that is 40 mil above the regular? I've heard of buffalo bars, but haven't tried them. I guess it's just what I've gotten used to.

@ apico do 4” and 6.5” rise, it wasn’t a criticism, I just wondered if you had tried both and preferred risers. Either way it significantly alters the geometry of the bike, might be worth testing for yourself. 🤗

Did you gear down your 200 (1 tooth smaller CS)? Just got my 200 and tried 1 tooth down--but it might be too slow. I think the 200 has a lower 1st gear than a 250 or 300 already? Your thoughts

I went up two teeth in the back which is like half a tooth in the front. We did have to lengthen the chain to do that though. It will be very slow in that gear ratio. That's why we did the half step. Might have to shift up to 2nd for more sections. I'd keep it that way and ride for a couple months and see how you like it. Then maybe change back for comparison. Cheers

@@TrialsProgression You are confirming my thoughts. During my last practice session, I changed the stock CS back and forth with 1 tooth smaller for a direct comparison in some low traction, off camber stuff and one hand figure eight drills. As a result of this back-to-back testing session, I also started thinking about splitting the difference with trying a slightly larger rear sprocket combined with the stock CS. Ha, guess I will also need a new chain.

How do you find the bigger rear sprocket? I’m running the original 11/42 on my 200 and using first a lot. Second often a bit too tall in sections. Been wondering about upping the rear and using second more….

I've changed out the gearing on the last 4 bikes I've had. I've never held it wide open in third and said I wish I had more speed in a competitive section, but I have often felt rushed and thought it'd be nice to go a little slower. Yes you can slip the clutch but there is something very nice about not needing to slip the clutch and just focus on throttle control. I really enjoy this gearing a lot. Only issue was that we had to add chain lengths to make it work. 🤷‍♂️

I run 10/42 on my Evo 200 and in most Novice/Sportsman sections I run them in 1st gear all the time. I do know people who have gone 10/44 and then use 2nd for sections, something about the final gearing being in a better sweet spot? I'm not that good to notice, but the 10 tooth front gear instead of the stock 11 tooth works just great and is pretty inexpensive.
