4:30 His ability description has been adjusted now. Now it's Special Attacks 1 and 2 cost no power. When the buff went live, he could start fights with 3 bars of power if he ended the previous fight with special 3. Probably because it was OP and many complained about getting killed by his special 3 in quests right at the start of fights, it's changed in the game, but hasn't been updated on their spotlight.

But he was able to start with 3 bars even pre buff. Yhatbwould be a nerf. Plus in his awakened ability there is a line for starting with 3 bars. How are you supposed to get that, if as you say you can't?

@@user-md1sl6nn1x Now you have to save your 3 bars of power and not use it to kill of opponents to start at 3 bars of power for that part of the sig ability. I personally consider this a shame, but I can understand why it's adjusted this way.

I have him r3 already and he is great on its own for AW attack, especially VS those nasty korg/shrug off Champs. Pairing him with Guardian you get 0 dmg with your parry's. The energy resist helps u tank a lot of specials/hits that are energy base + you can counter encouraging stun. His kit has so much potencial to be explore that I'm sure he can get up to top5-10 mutant, no matter how much other mutant fanboys refuse to accept.

Gonna be taking mine up pretty soon most likely, going to wait to see if anything is happening to war first, but reckon he will be a pretty solid defender on some nodes and just overall a lot of fun

I’ve loved Bishop from the start, even though I knew he wasn’t the best. I got him as a 5 star very late in my account so I didn’t want to rank him up, but gladly I got the 6 star recently and I’ve only tested him at rank 1 but his damage is bonkers. This buff does put a smile on my face

You can always ignore the synergies altogether and end the fight with just close to 3 bars, then next fight keep up the parries and build up to the sp3

If you bring Apocalypse to the party, Storm doesn't suck. But then again, when compared to buffed Bishop and Apoc, her utility may be limited depending on the quest/path.

The power back boosts have a predictable downside. I was hoping this wasn’t the case, but it is. 1. Throw your special 2. Special 2 becomes 2 bars of gray 3. Damage shoots it up to 3 bars or gray 4. You lose 2 bars of power after special ends 5. You get 1 bar of power The good thing with this is that you never go OVER and you are going to parry to bring the prowess up anyway. It makes him super consistent. Definitely some pros AND cons to how his special power bar synergize with Mutant Power Boosts

I'm only about a month into the game and I pulled my 4* bishop about a week ago and he's been an absolutely lynchpin in my quest progression. Definitely wouldn't mind opening a 5 or 6 star version eventually

Oh my god, a rank one 5 star with synergies literally kills everything in 5.2.1 power shield. Start with two bars of power, throw the special 2, they die from incinerate. That's insane

He no longer starts with an sp3 after finishing a fight with one as he did when first buffed. They changed him recently (including the text in his attributes). Shame - now the Electro synergy is a must if you want that.

Thanks Brian. On other channels I’ve seen ppl talk him up, but he requires a lot going his way to get decent damage, and he has almost no utility. I have been terribly unlucky with pulls so I either rank this guy as my first r3, or cable (for access to the summer of pain full objectives etc). I wish they didn’t take away his power gain on parry - it really gimped him.

He has a laundry list of cons, and is at pains to say he doesn’t recommend ranking him for most ppl. His damage is ok, and his utility is niche and ultra specific- if skill champ takedown. When awakened- stun immune while blocking. Seriously?

He’s ftp. If he hits a bottleneck he can’t just drop 100$ to get outta there. Every rank up needs to be calculated even now that r3’s aren’t a huge deal. Ignoring that, like you so obviously did, Bishop is of the mutant class and that in and of itself is a reason to really think about if a champion is worth r3. There’s something to be said about ranking up champs you enjoy, but when ur ftp, and in Brian’s position, you can just go trigger happy on those potentially good/I like them champions.

He can’t make a bad decision that could affect his in game progression because then he would fall behind (potentially) and perhaps lose relevance as a content creator. He's not playing bishop correctly, you need to stack the prowress with a few parries at first, then launch the sp3, build up 2 almost 3 bars of power, launch the sp2, parry 3 times, launch the sp1.

If running suicides, throw the sp3 immediately.. never build any prowess.. only if you are without suicides, you can build prowess and then spam the sp3 for indefinite energy vulnerability debuff

@@tariqedwards1560 the idea of throwing sp3 as the first attack in a match while the opponent is at full health is to place the indefinite energy vulnerability debuff on the opponent. Per his new kit, if bishop is bleeding and he has prowess, he goes into overload and deals damage to the opponent for each such prowess removed from overloading. Since the opponent is no longer at full health, the energy vulnerability debuff isn't indefinite.. hope it clarifies..
