CFL grid iron lines ruin the field, already seen other MLS teams share NFL fields and its looked bad where line marks are still visible even when "rubbed off' (more like faded). There is some teams like Vancouver Whitecaps who share with BC Lions and the marks get rubbed off well, but they also use fake turf, TFC play on real grass, I don't care what MLSE owners have said in the passed how all grid iron marks will be removed for any TFC games, I just don't believe it, even if the marks are rubbed off the field it will get torn up. Just a few weeks ago there was a NFL game in London at Wembly, few days later England national team had a game and the field was ruined in parts of the field. Argos are well over 100 years old....isn't it time they got there own place??? lol. Serious plenty of MLS teams have built there own stadiums in the passed decade and soccer isn't even the biggest sport in USA/Canada and MLS isn't even really a big money making league like other pro sports in this country, can't CFL teams or I should say mainly the Argos get there shit together on there own?

***** Cool story, too bad all of those ratings are from the western provinces. No one here gives two shits about them. They will forever be rent boys because whoever owns the club doesn't care enough to build a stadium for them. Wonder why? Because, wait for it... It's a sinking ship! Ha!

***** I never said MLS was a great league, I like to support Toronto FC, is MLS as good as many Europe Leagues? hell no, but this is all I got to support over here. Is CFL as good as NFL? hell no. same boat, Argos also only play what 8 home games and 8 away, it makes it easier to get higher ratings for individual games, for example in MLS teams play more then twice as many games then CFL, between League games, and cup games and then you also have national games. I wouldn't brag about Argos better ratings either, stadium ticket sales don't do well, a season when Argos break even seems like a good year for the Argos. The League also only has 9 teams, where is it going to grow from here??

***** I did here Argos were part of the Sky Dome deal, but im not to sure how much, but either way funny how Argos are now getting kicked out of the Sky Dome. I wouldn't even care if the Argos played at BMO field if it wasn't for the worry of the awful look of CFL grid Irons and torn up grass. And the other thing is how many times have Argos had opportunity to get there own stadium? To start back in 2006 before Toronto FC played a single game Argos were asked to share the stadium, and they didn't!! York University was another great opportunity and then so was Pan Am games, but Hamilton jumped and got Pan Am games stadium done. Blue Bombers got a great bran new stadium as well, yet Argos can't even seem to get the $10 million asked to spend on BMO field expansion. Just sad state Argos are in, wish they just got there shit together and built there own stadium!

It's nice to see the Canadian football grow. This should have happened much earlier but better late than never! As a Brazilian, I hope that in the future, at least one Canadian team will be part of the Copa Libertadores, because without at least a representative for every country in the Americas, is as if, in Europe no Danish or Swiss teams, took part in the Europa Champions League. The growth of football across the American Continent, would become more realistic this competition was born in South America. Wishes for a great future for Canadian football and wishes for a good season for Toronto.

Curious why they have not planned to put dividers on the sides of the stands, as English stadiums usually do. This would protect the pitch from the gusts of winds that come through BMO and enclose sound for a better atmosphere.

It's going to be a beautiful stadium for you guys. The view of the skyline was terrific, but I'll just focus on the Impact beating TFC's ass. :)

It sure seems that fancy bars and lounges with VIP entrances point to MLSE in pathetic search for big spenders. What is being offered to the fan who has already been loyal to TFC for year after year? Maybe a hot dog stand and a washroom.

The field is still going to be small as hell
@DonCapoeira9 жыл бұрын
That field is going to be around 30K at that point. It will basically seat the second largest capacity possible in MLS at that point behind only Seattle.
@jonathanbell53289 жыл бұрын
DonCapoeira You're forgetting Gillette Stadium which it seems NE will stay in forever and then longer. Also, the LAFC ownership group may go larger than 30K but that is just rumor at this point.
@jonathanbell53289 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Bell And I forgot that the new DC United stadium has not passed all the hurdles yet and if that falls through DC capacity is larger also.
@mikemill71159 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Bell He's talking about the "field" not the stadium capacity
@jonathanbell53289 жыл бұрын
Read his post again .. He said 30K and "basically seat the second largest capacity..".. Doesn't sound like field size to me.
