In order to keep your LF save, just play terminus and/or citadel and simply do not save that game. If you die or just simply leave, your save for LF is still in there. Do not let your timer run out or it may overwrite your save. The one go around of this is if you have a saved game, load up a new game, crash/quit Bo6, once you go into "start a match" it will ask you if you want to continue that last game. So you techinically can have 2 saves at once if you have to take a break, you just are forced to play that second save until you die/quit the game.
