My 2006 1720 needs new wiring. But man, there is no room to get up there and do it. I’ve been on Key West forums and seen where they actually remove the center console from the boat and install it off the boat. What a pain in the butt.

I used New Wire Marine for a complete new switch setup, including custom labeled switches. The customer service and response time was awesome. Switches turned out great. Gauge Saver is another 10/10 company, but they are about 3-weeks wait on rebuilds at the present.

Few people will navigate at night and if they do the backlights are impairing your night vision, then backlights on switches are almost not visible in most daylight conditions. i re-did my dash entirely but kept the original (paneltronic) toggle switch/ circuit breaker with open boot cap and shiney toggles. Easy to see what is on or off, easy to reset if it trips, slim easy to add more in a row which will happen for sure. just 1 small thing to watch as I have seen most manufacturer make that mistake. When supplying an automatic bilge pump 1 line comes from unswitchable power source Battery direct through a fuse, and the switch at the dash is for manual bilge pump start, what would happen is if your battery isolator is in OFF and both the bilge pump AUTO and bilge pump MANUAL are on then you will supply the entire house systems through the AUTO Bilge pump fuse and it would probably blow, so I connect the +12V to the MANUAL bilge pump from the AUTO bilge pump fuse, actually I put a mini Bluesea fuse distribution just for unswitchable power stuff. Also if you have been wondering how your all round nav light comes on alone when switch ON your Anchor light but also comes ON together with green and red when switching NAV lights this is done using a 50V 5Amp (enough for modern LED's) Diode which let current going towards the white all round light but not towards the red green.

Yeah, that can definitely happen on the bilge pump if you turn off your master switch, but leave your manual switch on. Another way to do the Nav/Anc switch is to use a double pole switch with a few jumpers... we made a tutorial on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpiZm4SGhbN5ic0 - thanks!
