Haha, please no. I prefer paperbacks mostly. Or a mix. Not a fan of those overly huge YA hardcovers that take up way to much space and are uncomfortable to read. I like the more chaotic look of paperbacks and unsorted colours. :) Thankfully there are styling options for everyone. ;)

@@literature_geek Yeah, I prefer having either one. I don't like a mix though ;) For now, I am happy with my paperbacks. But that doesn't stop me from fantasying about all the books on my bookshelf being hardbacks ;P

I definitely prefer hardcovers because you can read them without the dust jacket and get it a lil messy but then once you put the dust jacket back on it looks good as new 😅 I'm not careful enough for paperbacks and breaking the spines drives me crazy haha

I liked the monster trilogy alright, though the ending of Hero made me so mad. It was so lazy on Michael Grant’s part and they’re fine but I don’t count it as canon purely for my peace of mind

May I ask what measurements your bookshelves have? I'm going to move to my very own apartment in December and I'm still not sure wether I want to go for the Billy bookshelves or the Hemnes ones.

Rosie as someone who just moved into an apartment, I’d definitely recommend the Hemnes over the Billy if you can afford it. They’re much much nicer in quality and slightly wider, so they fit more books. Which is always a plus in my opinion! Best of luck with your move :)
