Living that new edge lifestyle…Welcome to the fam…Don’t get the long tube headers, there’s too many negative effects…Including ground clearance not much sound or power difference, a lot of cabin noise, having to remove them every time you change a clutch, and how difficult install actually is are just a few…

Not too concerned about cabin noise. I was just surprised the Borla’s didn’t drone as much! Gonna need LTH for blower anyways so why not 🤷‍♂️

@@EarsXBL the only benefit longtubes give you is exhaust scavenging…You need to research this before you just throw them on..They r absolutely not needed for a blower…I have had many of these cars and I adamantly advise against them unless your building a full on quarter mile monster…Don’t take my word for it, but do me a favor and put some time into some research on the mustang forums, I guarantee you will change your mind…

@@NewEdgeDesigns hmm 🤔 I’ll take another look but I’ve seen that you can gain 30whp from LTH and that with custom grind cams paired with a blower will make good power SBE. I’ll make my decision next month.

@@EarsXBL not on a modular 4.6…the stock heads PI or not don’t allow for it…Full bolt on is about a 30hp gain…The best way is a kenne bell some trick flow heads and a boost cam…With all that you will have to build your bottom end because you will be over the 450hp safe zone…So honestly all you need from here is the blower…and a cam if your really dead set on it, but again you may need to build your rotating assembly at that point..

Sounds sick. Jeez am I the only one that thinks the 05-09s are a downgrade to the 99-04? Yeah the 2v is slower, but the sound is enough to make it worth the loss in power. Not to mention the looks, inside and out of the New Edge tops the early S197 ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! I'm hoping to sell my car and get a Mach 1, but if I can't find a clean Mach 1, may start looking at who wants to trade a 2V for a 3V...

I have cheap longtube headers catless H pipe and Borla Ataks welded in and it's sounds amazing you'll love the longtubes. And honestly the gains from an h to an x is maybe 3 to 5 horsepower not even noticeable. It ends up being sound preference. I'm also cammed and it's perfect. Currently gathering parts for a t56 magnum swap.

@@cooperiannon1051 I have Mac Longtubes Mac x pipe catless and an SLP LM1 catback. Buy the MIL eliminators they plug into your 02 sensor harness. once you connect them, erase your check engine light and it shouldnt come back on.

I love it & the funny thing is that I have an ‘06 GT with the Borla ATAK’s, BBK’s Longtube Headers with it’s Shorty X-Pipe lol 😂. Everytime I get on it even tho I drive a automatic since I don’t know how use a Manual Shift & I get pulled over by the cops ALL THE TIME BC they say it’s too loud & have set off a few car alarms by when starting the car & revving it up & bam, there goes the alarm, lol bc I have it’s Longtube Headers of the BBK & BBK Shorty X-Pipe, Borla ATAK. I usually just get pulled over bc they saying it’s too loud or they love the sound of my exhaust on my car lol 😂

With 4:10 gears on that car it can't help but scream doing high speeds at 3 grand! But for way cheaper than a $900 Catback system you could just got some Spintech Prostreet 9000s or Dynomax Mini Bullet mufflers if you wanted to be louder than Magnaflow Magnapacks.

Yo.. nice car. I just picked up a new edge and am loving it. It’s an 04 completely stock other then flow masters. I’ve always had foxbodys till now so I’m pretty familiar with how to get them to 320 to the wheel. Yours seems to boogy nicely and I’m surprised considering the mods you listed. My foxes took a full HCI to move like that. Which mods made the most difference for you? Are you running stock gears?

I bought the car w/ short tube headers, catless X pipe & Magnaflows. Had 4.10 gears too. I have no idea how I stock New Edge drives but I will say adding boost is the best thing you can do. Completely wakes up the car.

@@louisklein9207 I've had a few of these cars, gears are an inexpensive mod to give you a quicker feel. They don't compare to modern cars but they are still my favorite gen. For my current car, I bought cams, upped the compression ratio, and a bunch of bolt ons, going to get it dyno tuned after I get it back from paint. My target was 325hp at the crank, hopefully I got it 😆

Haha. You sound just like me man just got an O2 mustang GT mineral gray metallic, it has a stock exhaust almost all the way through except for flowmaster 40 mufflers, and it has cold air intake and MSD ignition other than that it's stock. I also have the bullet pedals and a cobra shift knob. I'm definitely going after borla attacks for sure, combining that with a bassani off road X pipe who give me the exact sound I'm looking for. I might go with long tube headers if I end up supercharging the car.
