This is the best release of the year. Boss is crushing it!! This is everything I am looking for in a cold weather fragrance - sweet but not overly, mass-appealing without being generic and very good performance. I sprayed it on a tester strip like a week ago, this scent just simply does not fade away from the tester strip!! I don't like leather in fragrances, but this is an exception, this is a very smooth and light suede while also being chocolatey at the same time. Delicious stuff 🔥💯

I went in to try it for myself. In my honest opinion the quality surprised me. This could pass for a niche fragrance. Dry down is fire 🔥. Go try it if you haven’t.

Been wearing this for a week now. Really nice for the season and towards the cold winter months. Teetering with the sweetness on the start, but after it settles down. Chefs kiss 💋 Woodiness. Chocolatey. And more. Great longevity and projection is just icing on the cake. Might wanna start with light trigger finger.

This gives me Pazzaglia Van Py Rhum vibes in the dry-down…that chocolatey, cakey patchouli and vanilla combo. It’s incredible

This is fantastic! The dry down for me takes me to a darker, less fresh Layton, a bit smoky with leather and licorice.

Hi Chris, I hope you're well. I smelt Absolu in The Perfume Shop a couple of weeks ago and was immediately impressed. It does smell niche entry level. In my opinion, it's easily one of the best designer releases this year. Hugo Boss have done it again.

I did this thing I’ve only done once before with Rule of 72 by 2787; I BOUGHT TWO BOTTLES!!😂 This, for me and my nose, is just spectacular. It may not be unique and may have nuances of other popular niche fragrances, but this does it differently enough that it is its own thing. A total stunner and another great release. Tried this on sunday and its a beast on the skin, but for my taste its a scrubber and because of its strength i needed to triple scrub.....no joke. Smells a bit like Mancera Red Tobacco. I smell this kind of smell far too much around for my liking, and the BR 540 and Brazilian whatever it is whiff haha

I’m looking forward to getting the Absolu when it comes back in stock on Discounters. I smelled it already at Sephora. I liked it right away. I have the Elixir and enjoy it. The last few releases have been great from Hugo Boss.

Hi Chris, the review that im waiting for!!! Hugo Boss has surprised me lately with very good and complex fragrances. I have Boss Botlled Elixir and I love it, and this last one, Boss Bottled Absolu is excellent, for me the best fragance release so far this year!! Great review👌👍

It reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco, but it is richer and has more depth while sharing a similar DNA. No doubt, it is the best HB release in a long time.

I was just wondering if it’s just me but since I am kinda newer in the fragrance journey I might be a bit off. But I have owned Tom Ford plum japonias (I sold it) and to me this has some hints of that fragrance maybe? Reminds me of it somewhat. I loved that one and love this one too! So great!

Did the same thing. Just got my bottle today. Really really nice scent. There's some leather in the dry down and it really puts off this oud vibe without actually having oude as a note. Cold weather Banger for sure

Excellent impressions Chris. Elixir wasn't bad at all despite it smelling very familiar in the drydown, but this one sounds better. I actually do really like the bottle colours. As for the new ad, I'm hoping it'll be "come smell like a backwards double S.O.B!" 😆 Or maybe I'm looking at the logo wrong.

My 200ml arrives on Friday. Can't wait since I really enjoy Elixir. Edit: Fragrance arrived early. Bold, dark, masculine, a touch of sweetness, slight dusty vibe from the davana. I've been wearing it for 6 hours and still catching whiffs. I'll try layering it with Elixir and see how it goes.

I put my nose on this at a perfumery store and was instantly reminded of Zara's Vibrant Leather Tobacco Elixir. To my nose , they smell 85% the same. But the performance of the Boss one is maybe even stronger (and the Zara is already amazingly strong): i sprayed this on my wrist and my watchstrap caught a whiff and I still smell this on the band after a week. But Zara's VL Tobacco is only 25€, so...

For me the elixir is more mass appealing and easier to wear. The patchouli makes this one a little more of a challenge. It's not bad at all. It's just something that can start to wear on you before it wears off of you. Nice but a step below the Elixir.

@@Oldish2002 Not at all redundant. Both are same season frags if that makes them redundant. They do not smell alike at all. I've found this one more challenging than the Elixir. I've had a few ladies smell both and they preferred Elixir if that matters. Maybe someone will do a street reaction of the 2 and see which wins.

Tried it twice already and for me this smells very unpleasant and I own Bottled Elixir. My wife also said this is awful and she actually enjoys the Elixir. I'm surprised people enjoy this scent

The leather is a bit strong at first but a few minutes later the leather kind soft down and started blend with the others notes, and it smeels amazing. I imagine 28+ in winter, black or dark clothes using this fragance

I'd been checking a bunch of the online discount spots for this one, for a couple of weeks now, ever since every single one of the YT reviewers seemed to be unanimous as to how fantastic it is. Even as recently as yesterday, I checked 7, 8 different sites, all to no avail, nobody had it. I work nights, and, when I got off work this morning, I was going to order a couple of other ones from FBuy, but, just for shyts & giggles, I figured that I'd do a quick check of a couple sites, not expecting any success. Wouldn't you know it, first thing I opened FBuy, they had it, and, at a decent price, too ($74.86)?! So, I quickly added Bottled Absolu to my cart, and, so much look forward to receiving my Precieux I, Turathi Brown & Boss Bottled Absolu real soon!
