yes. they’re playing using a mod that’s a massive ongoing fanmade project, so there’s going to be a lot of content that’s not in the base game. the mod is called second wind if you wanted to check out more

We always recommend listening to your parents, we generally have the attitude that games/stories/movies are fiction and we are able to separate that from reality. Not everyone can do that very well, especially younger kids, but we believe that is up to each family to decide what they're comfortable with.
