The liquid metal would damage or destroy plenty of internal components. Thermite turns into liquid iron. And it would mangle that thing.

The 360-degree articulation of its joints is impressive. To me, it's not unsettling at all. Envision the commercial, industrial, and eventual consumer applications for such a versatile robot. I believe there's no need for humanoid robots to be constrained by the same range of motion as humans.

Boston Dynamics is showing that they moved away from hydraulic actuators and managed to create a robot with electric motors, which are more flexible and controllable. On the goodbye video of the old version they showed a lot of cases where pumps and pipes were exploding and now they show the versatility of the new version, which can be more compact and dynamic.

This robot needs to run as fast as Humans running for their life without falling down and should be able to navigate difficult battlefield ground. How it's going to navigate through trenches, barricade, wires, land mines???

Dann kann man diese nationale T-Shirts weiter nutzen, ohne egoistisch zu wirken 😅 So z.B. haben ein paar in unserem Verein diese aus Polen und der Schweiz.

Eeeeh, but why? Humannoid robots are a waste of money in most of those environments. Put like 4 arms on a cart and it can handle more work. Even 1 arm on a cart can now clean public bathrooms.

I think the reason for the 360 degree movement is that it has the capability to walk normally, but it also has options to move around in areas that no human being can move. I honestly think the way it moves is cool and emphisis the fact this is a Robot, not a human.
