Maybe lock on/aiming bugs don't effect aim as much on inaccurate ships. If you have a accurate ship and the shot is bugged most of your shells will be effected. If you are shooting a shotgun blast of shells and the aiming system drops them low then some of them will be on target. Maybe the new meta is Italian BB's

It looks like it has good vertical dispersion and good penetration. Sigma not so important when you are aiming at broadsides and battleships in particular.

@ 19:53 True, but you also shot AP 90% of the time in your Bungo, and that whole line is an HE spamming BC line using 457mm British inspired 18in designs from WW1. Also, Navarin AP is pretty good for 406mm. Not as good as Marco Polo/Giuseppe Verdi, but those two have exceptional AP for 16in guns. Past 4km, Navarin has a lot more pen than Lenin's 406mm, which are also know as being really good. Even at 20km, Navarin pens over 426mm, while Tsurugi/Bungo's 457mm's are only penning slightly more 432mm at the same distance. The Japanese BC 457mm's AP only has high pen when inside 6km, which is suicide distance for them, which is why HE should be your primary round for them.

Bungo design was not made using ww1 British guns. They were designed to use the Yamatos 46cm (18.1inch) guns in a double mount configuration. The reason why they feel so lackluster in penetration is because they use old AP shells. Yamihari uses ww1 type 3 APCBC shells, while Amagi uses the Type 91 AP shell which is way better

@@happycatto9555 the design can state whatever it wants, the game has them with 457mm guns that have similar ballistics and behaviour to the old Conqueror 457s. It has lackluster penetration because the guns the devs based them on are the BL18 Mk.1 rifles from HMS Furious, instead of the 46cm/45 Type 94s the Japanese developed. Personally I would've liked to see the ship with the 460s, but whatever.

Just a random sidenote, the trick to making french secondary builds work is slapping IFHE on them. As for the Italians, you just use it to give your guns a better reload, the secondaries are purely a source of fire.

I remember the first match I saw one, I was in the Scarlett Thunder (it was the very first bundle so I couldn't pass up a Tier IX Battlecruiser for 9$) we did a good old drive by. Hint: I only one of us got the Devistating Stike medal, and it wasn't the Navarin Captain.

So, the highest DPM of secondaries (overall) of all T9s has the Guiseppe Verdi with 1.456.358 The Navarin is only 2nd with 1.073.684 The most effective Secondaries of all existing ship hast the T9 Iwami with IFHE and 32mm Pen and a 3.7k DPM on a 10x10 square area (100m²) Compared to that, the Schlieffen has a 3.1k DPM on 100m² with IFHE and 32mm Pen (2nd best of all ships, but now 3rd best in this regard) The Navarin is still pretty good with 3.5k (2nd best now) but got only 27mm Pen at best. Explanation: Overall DPM of secondaries mean nothing. It's important that these things hit as accurate as possible and do as much damage as possible on a small spot - the superstructure if possible. So the 100m² area is just a calculation to compare the ships secondary dispersion together with its secondary DPM. The 100m² is quite small when you see the Schlieffens overall dispersion area of 18.000m² or: Patries dispersion of 51.000m² but his 1.500.000 DPM means nothing on that.

That 'turtleback' may be even worse than nothing at all. Shells that might get caught in 'void armour' might instead bounce into the top flat part of the cit.. Weird design, very WarGaming I must say.

the ifhe on 22 pen isnt for bbs and ca's, its so you dont shatter on dds and cls. mandatory imo

Dude, you don't need IFHE for dds. DDs have 19mm armor so 22 pen is ok. You also don't need some treshold for cls cos none wanna get 10km close to any BB, and if does you just kill that easy with main guns. Secondaries on Navarin are just for dds or starting some fires on BBs and heavy cruisers.

This is such a fun ship. While it lacks the Utility of, German BBs, for some reason, I tend to do better in this ship than the German brawlers. A lot of fires and when they hit, the main guns are dangerous.
