Tupinaciq is referring to a species of ant eater called Tamandua Bandeira (translates to Flag Anteater) because of its long tail. And obviously also the numerous indigenous tribes from Brazil

Lizareen and Crueptile are based on tegu lizards, the American equivalent of monitor lizards. It's cool how that one family goes silky/pygmy anteater -> tamandua -> giant anteater. A maned wolf Lycanroc is amazing. Mons based on a caracara and a harpy eagle are perfection.

A detail about 'Pamilho' you didn't mention (probably cause you didn't know, and that's fine) is that it's based on a 'Pamonha' a Brazillian food made with Corn.

Tupinaciq's tail looks like a hut from the indigenous people of Brazil. The feather crest thing ans the red markings are also based on things they would use to decorate their bodies with (feathers, body paint, etc). Which is why the first stage has the white feathers too.

Actually, this is a Northeast brazilian pokedex References for who din't get R.Dwebble: the shell is actually a drink called " Guarana Jesus" Forworm to Formagma and Queenajura are different lines Tupinaciq tail is a reference to indigenous hollow Ximbrahs is a reference to a marble Saying it again, this is a northeast pokemon region. If you wanna see an Entire Brazil pokemon region, Diguidex is a perfect option

There is also a really specific funny and grim reference. 060 Heafinha is a reference to Rafinha, the name of a chicken that was stolen and her owner imitated the chicken during an interview, creating a classic meme. BTW, the sound of "nh" in Portuguese is identical to "ñ" in Spanish.

Heafinha🤣🤣 For anyone confused, that is a reference to a famous Brazilian meme of a pet chicken named Rafinha that had an entire news segment dedicated to her disappearance and subsequent funeral that was so large and had so many people attend that it took over an entire city

There is an adjective in portuguese called "estilosa" ("estiloso" if the substantive is masculine, but atm the substantive is feminine), used when referring to someone with style (stylish). The name is a mix of Steel and Estilosa Btw Rasgamort is based on the Rasga-mortalha, a bird that has legends about it

Hey metal, on the Tupinaciq line, they are based on the tupi-guarani tribe and tupinaciq's tail is the tupi-guarani 's house which we call "oca"

The names of 'Glaciosa', 'Scamoza' and 'Steeloza' and most likely Wordplay with the words 'Graciosa', 'Escamosa' and 'Estilosa' which mean 'Gracious', 'Scaly' and 'Stylish' in Portuguese (Brazil's Main language) when refering to a Woman.

To explain Tupinaciq 10:36 , the Giant Anteater will shelter and cover itself with its tail and that's what it looks to be designed for on the Pokemon! Interesting facts about the Giant Anteater... Jaguars can get completely bodied by them. Mess with one while it's covered and it's 50/50 which end you'll get, making it even more treacherous for not just a Jaguar, but anyone who approaches. This mammal is practically blind and will always choose violence first as a result of the predators in the area. It attacks until whatever it's clawing backs off or becomes past tense.

These are great, I paniced a bit when i saw the Corn Mon as Im trying to design my own Fakemon Dex and I also have a 3 stage Corn Pokemon. Luckily mine are very different. I also had a chick that evolved into 2 different male and female chickens, each woth uniqie typings but luckily the designs i had in mind were very different.

Alright team time: Fogalope simply because it looks spooky in a good way and immunity to two types are always nice, Crueptile I love lizards, Donaruga I love turtles and every team needs a tank, Terroster ground/fighting two of my fav types mixed into one mon that both look badass and reminds of Blaziken sign me up, Mestimba I love capoeira and I always wanted to learn it. Also I love this mon´s style, Steeloza because fancy as hell. End game team changes: Seagonxin will replace Crueptile. It simply looks more bulky and it is also a poison type which will counter them fairy mons which is good because am not giving up my Terroster or Mestimba just because of them damn fay. Breakhaos will sadly replace Fogalope and I know that replacing my starter is not cool but come on ghost/steel is too good to pass up. Lastly we have Mermelody who with a heavy heart will replace Donaruga. Hardest of all to decide on but I need Mermelody for the end game. However my turtle buddy will be with the team in spirit. To anyone who reads this feel free to tell me were you think my team would be good at and/or bad at. Just remember to be respectful.
