My city has a truckload of these, they're actually the primary warning siren for our area. They range between 150-180 decibels from a good probably 700 feet away (The distance between my house and the nearest back in 2015 and 2016, the years they were used most)

Dude I was literally driving by this siren a little while after the test and was wishing I had recorded it because of all the snow covering it. Also thanks for recording one of New Brighton's sirens, they've been on my list for a while.

Yeah no problem! If you go to about 11 months ago on my channel I also filmed the one near the McDonalds, leaving only 2 of 5 left.

And this, folks, is why screens are put on sirens.
@MnandWISirenProductions Жыл бұрын
I disagree, sirens are most used in the summer, and if you don't have a screen we get bird problems, which can be way worse than snow.

Ive never recorded this siren in non-winter conditions so I'm not entirely sure but id assume so since it was super quiet. Last time I recorded this was exactly 3 years from today in pretty much the same conditions/
