It’s a better choice for all of the reasons mentioned. The stadium for the main venue and setting up live play at other locations throughout Busan is a great idea. This also has a lot of potential income for surrounding businesses. If you’re gonna “sell” Busan for the Expo, they need to see Busan. My biggest concern is the possibility of HYBE being used as a scapegoat if anything goes wrong. They need to make sure they cover and protect themselves against any liabilities. The public should also educate themselves and keep an eye on this project. 🙏🙏🙏
@evelynpayne86632 жыл бұрын
Yes!! I definitely agree! 👍HYBE should watch their backs and be prepared if anything goes wrong.!! I'm so glad that they ( HYBE) has got some things organized and are getting things done with B.T.S. and all the fans to Insure everyones safely!!👏 That should always b #1 priority!! 😊❤️💜

Thank you, as always, for your in-depth and candid reporting. The Busan politicians may have shot themselves in the foot. This very public safety and corruption fiasco may undermine Busan's World Expo. bid. If you can't get a concert right, how could you be entrusted with a major international event?
@ystrw2 жыл бұрын
Exactly this. And the hotel owners who were price gouging are another side of the problem: if that's how they behave to their own people ahead of a free concert, what won't they do to thousands of foreign EXPO visitors?

Thank you so much for providing an update and staying on top of it. I’m so relieved and happy knowing that the magnificent seven whom I fondly call will be safe and they will provide us another magnificent show that is to come. Hilariously I thought corruption only happens in the KDrama world but it’s actually happening among the Busan officials. Shame on them. They should watch every move that they make going forward especially if it involves BTS. Armies will always protect the magnificent seven. We will never allow anyone to destroy them. They have worked so hard to be were they are now, they made a lot of sacrifices and they have all been selfless in their own ways and have brought so much joy, love and happiness to the entire world so we the armies will always be protecting them. Kudos for you for exposing such corruption. Please take care of yourself and you’re doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic reporting. When I heard about the initial plan in the glass factory I was so worried for BTS and all the fans attending as it seemed like the whole setup was sure to get people injured. And it seemed incredibly suspicious that the concert was being held in such a place as it would not put Busan in a good light, which I thought was the purpose of the expo. So glad the event will be at a stadium with appropriate exits, safety personnel, facilities for all attendees. Thank you for your reporting and making it clear what was happening.

I said it before about 6 times and here it goes again. Politics is a very dirty game with plenty of players no matter SKorea America or any other country. The bottom line for every greedy person is the almighty dollar. Period. They would have gotten away with their first choice but someone got a wiff of the plans now it's forced to go to a different venue. And don't think they're not playing with the military issue either. Keeping it on back burner till they can use bts for their own good.

This is so interesting. It sounds as though Busan officials aren’t really interested in having the international Expo. More focused on the high rise and self interest and using BTS as pawns. They were throwing BTS, fans and innocent residents under the bus. What is wrong with these people? Corruption is worldwide and it’s a total lack of empathy in our society in US too. When are politicians going to lookout for the people who put them into office. Anyone can say No, I don’t want your apartment, NO , you can’t buy me off. Wishful thinking, I think. It’s all what’s in it for me. When I saw the glass factory venue I was shocked! It did remind me of a “Woodstock” situation. And that was a mess. I’m so happy to see that the venue has changed. They need to hire you. You have some great ideas. My area just fought a large power company , that contributes politically. They were using eminent domain to lay a huge pipeline unnecessarily in order to ship natural gas out of the country. Destroying the economy of this agricultural area, vineyards, orchards farms, national forest, property values, etc. Because we had strong support and advocates, after 7 plus years, the power company gave up. The power company thought we would roll over & play dead. Busan is another case where the public was able to contribute & maybe force the change. Sorry about the rant. Enjoy your show..

I'm so glad I found your channel. You go really in depth on the multi-faceted issues around using BTS and politics. I generally hate that BTS is being used by politicians. As an I-Army, I don't understand it. As for the concert itself, I'm so incredibly happy that they switched it. I had no idea this stadium existed. Like, logistically (not including politics), it doesn't make sense to not use the stadium, especially if it was available. Stadiums like that typically have the necessary items for large events. Again, security/police, med stations, places for differently abled persons, etc. This place should have ALWAYS been the number one pick. And I'm sorry, but from the political angle; there is NO WAY the villagers would have been like, okay, cool, when 100K people trampled through the village, I totally see the vision (note, this is sarcasm). Regardless, thank you for your hardwork looking into these items and presenting these. ARMYs really appreciate your hardwork. Thank you.
