He needs a way to pause the duration on his frostbites, and also refresh them. Like how Diablo pauses and refreshes his poisons. Then a loop of L1 L1 L2 can be worth it. Also add in your idea about the L3. I think they should remove the explode on heavy and replace it with a 5-10 second pause. L1 refreshes existing frostbites and adds 2 more. Once you built up like 20+, you explode them with the L2. Also, the L3 should give him an indefinite super ice armor that limits all damage from any source to 5% and can only be removed by opponents L3.

i think with his current utility kit, he is good enough... I don't think Kabam wants him to be another top 5 mutant, especially since he has pretty good defensive abilities already.

Also his ideal synergy team is pretty stacked. Aarkus benefits heavily from the 2 second armor breaks and scorpion is just scorpion

His awakening has gone completely unchanged, so a quick little buff they could give to it is trickle in the Scorpion synergy as his awakening. Something like: "Gain 200-1200 crit rating while the Ice Armor is Active based on signature ability"

Literally anything that may increase the frequency of his Frostbites is welcomed, your idea sounds great since it's literally such a small tweak that makes such a nice difference and incentivises players to at least try and get his sig. Plus, the crit rate being attached to the ice armor is nice, it gives that bit of "Utility trade-off with damage" theme that some Kabam designers like to sprinkle in occasionally with some champs since losing it would cost you that damage potential.

Lags can suggest to the team increasing his crit rate and damage rate by 15%to 20% that won’t make him broken but definitely better

Iceman should be to skill champs what Torch is to mystics. - if opponent shrugs off cold snap place 2 frostbite passives - if opponent attempts to bleed iceman place a frostbite passive - when evade is prevented due to coldsnap place a frostbite passive - while opponent is suffering from frostbite or coldsnap: 90% ability accuracy reduction to skill #metal champs; 60% ability accuracy reduction to #metal champs; 30% ability accuracy reduction to tech #metal champs - all physical contact attacks from skill champs have a 50% chance to place a frostbite passive

I was thinking on the lines of "his normal attacks have a chance to pause coldsnap and frostbite for like a second or two". And maybe if you stack a certain amount of coldsnaps and detonate them all at once it leaves the opponent stunned, or using SP3 instead converts them into armor shattered.

Yup those synergies definitely need to be in his kit. I also would like to see his sp3 hit hard and turn cold snap in to passive that way annoying skill champs can't shrug it off with a long duration time Edit: or maybe even better a passive slow debuff on sp3 or sp2 cuz Jubilee and Toads slow don't really work against skill champs, most of them just shrug it off

He was my 1st r5 5* bc he could tank L3’s on ‘all or nothing’ w/his ice armor plus his immunities were pretty awesome. As an omega level mutant he shouldn’t need synergies to be awesome solo. I remember in the comics it being explained Specifically that he was able “to lower the temp. enough to freeze blood cells…” if his L1 applied a rupture that ticked along with coldsnap for all the ‘new immune’ champs THAT would be legit.

I would like to see something like: heavy attack explosion, does not consume frostbites(mysterio + peni example) that will make iceman less rng dependant cuz you're not losing the frostbites and to be made more balanced put a cap on the frostbites.

With arkus having the mechanic to have unlimited frostbite if you play aggressive. His synergy with Ice man should pause frostbites while cold snap is active.

I think definitely thw synergies should be more intertwined to his kit. He seems like he needs to much support right now to get to a play worthy level. Also I think more could be his done with his ice armor. Maybe while he has it he doesn't recieve passive damage like recoil, thorns, or Atuma and Korg thorns. In addition his ice armor could him some more physical/energy resistance while active

8:15 in the heavy detonation didn't really show. UI bug? i tried slowing it down/pausing but couldn't see the detonation lol. Also wanting to spam sp1's doesn't make him as suicide friendly as first thought.

My only thing with the nova flame immunity is he should be the only one in the game with it. If other champs get it then I’ll have issues. Iceman is an omega level mutant with the power to manipulate thermal energy. In all honesty he should be a lot more powerful but this is a step in the right direction.

I feel like this buff is decent, but it could be way better though. Literally all they have to do is add the scorpion synergy into his base kit, and he’ll be way better. I also feel like he should have shock immunity as well. But this seems like a good start to his buff atleast.

I know he has a synergy, but I’d think it would be nice if I’m base he countered cleanse or/and shrug abilities. I think mutants should be better at countering the skill class. Even interactive damage like from Korg and Attuma. Not every mutant needs to counter every skill ability, but just more. It would be Nice if Ice-Man’s other specials did something else. Maybe his sp3 could apply something that gives opponents less power when hitting into them. Like a suppression, but passive and specifically to show his ice abilities. His sp2 maybe”freeze” the opponents power bar. And I read he has thermal vision so maybe a miss counter.

Seeing a lot of different ideas floating around, mostly great but my 2 cents is that his gameplay loop - even with those synergies - is still a bit simplistic and boring. Making his rotation a bit more interactive (intercepts, heavy punishing, using specific combos etc) allows them to put more spice on the kit bc the player actually has to WORK to get it. Instead of just being "well anyone can do MLLLM combos, spam sp1 and heavy occasionally", they could give him a bunch of fun, unique abilities that people feel like they've unlocked by playing well

To make Bobby more viable for longer fights, I'd add the following: SP3 adds a deep freeze rebuff where every critical hit adds an additional cold snap and frostbite charge. SP3 adds 3 temp prowess buff that boost combat power rate up to the first special used after the SP3. SP2 pauses cold snap and frostbite charges for x number of seconds. So in a longer fight you spam 2 SP1s to start, do an SP3 to stack more, then do an SP2 to pause and drop a heavy attack for a big burst.
