This may sound stupid, I haven’t given this much thought, and I’m not a Sombra main by any means, but I feel like tying your stealth to your translocator, especially with the stealth duration being lower than the cd of tp sounds like it’s gonna FEEL terrible for sombra players I hate perma stealth and I agree it should be more limited, but instead of tying it to tp, maybe they could make stealth activate by holding crouch for a second to start the cast, it has it’s duration, and then goes on cd. Kinda like release sombra stealth, just activated by holding crouch for however long. I think making it it’s own separate ability again would feel way better than using tp to go in stealth for 5 seconds. What yall think?

This is basically the huge problem with the Ram changes, now Rein literally hard counters Ram. Rein can hold shield up, draw out the duration of nemesis, by the time Rein has to drop the shield or shield breaks, Ram reverts to omnic form and Rein mows him down.

I can't understand the logic of the balance team. How in the same patch they significantly complicate the game for Sombra, who is already characterized by the phrase "do or die", but at the same time give a buff about which no one asked for Ashe, who did not get out of the meta all last season and Bap, who already has a lot of damage and 3 strong abilities of self preservation. Ram change only makes sense if theyre planning to buff his projectile speed to fix the lopsided power distribution between his muscle and base forms. I personally would rather see .5x pierce damage(to not have him hard counter shield), less armor from muscle(-100 or -50 if thats too weak), slightly more base health (+50?), then faster primary fire so he can actually do anything without muscle.

Sombra's perma-stealth needed to go not because she was "annoying to play against". Countering her was having better positioning and not getting isolated. It needed to go because players who played her improperly would just hang out in the enemy backline looking for "the perfect opportunity" and doing nothing / throwing all game. This Sombra change means you can't engage while invis, making her worse than Tracer and Genji. If you do, you won't have translocator as an escape tool. It would be like Tracer engaging a target without recall or blinks. It would be like Genji engaging without reflect and a ledge to clumb up to, or without dash. So you have to engage while out of invis, without being seen, with footsteps auditable. Which means for people who actually played her properly, the fast pace play style is gone. At this point you might as well just play tracer, who does more damage and has a better escape tools. She isn't even an Ashe counter anymore. If they were going to remove perma-stealth, it needed to be back on a separate button like OW1. But I get it, we have virus now, so we don't have the key bindings. But there has to be a more creative way to address this. This is the most rushed and laziest way they could have done this. Her pick rate will fall to zero. And to top it all off, Widow isn't nerfed. We have some map changes, but she is still going to be oppressive. Sombra was the only hero to be able to close the distance and deal with her. Now that is going to be impossible. Mark my words, there are going to be more Widow players and a lot more people crying than anyone ever did about Sombra.

@@mrdisaster5880 an exception yeah. All of their abilities require aim to shut down someone’s ult. While Sombra’s hack auto locks your target, which makes it entirely a lot easier to shut down. Making stealth only available when using the translator and only last 5 seconds is a huge nerf tho. A bit too much of a nerf imo, but we’ll just have to wait and see how she plays. Also just to note, Sombra’s EMP is a counter to multiple ults. Sym’s wall, Ball’s minefield, Mauga’s cage, and others. Same goes for hack. If you hack a Cass or Sigma while they are in ult, you immediately cancel it out. So yeah, those heroes should be able to knock you out of ult just like Sombra can as well

I'm looking forward to this season! Also, I wonder if the Devs would consider doing what Marvel did with their group up abilities and seasonal buffs to certain heroes. Those external buffs can be changed at any moment or removed to address issues with a meta or to shift away from it, and the heroes themselves are never directly changed. Also, it seemed like to me that the group up abilities/buffs were a healthy way to encourage a meta and encourage teamwork because it made people feel more powerful together and like you were helping someone be more successful when swapping to a certain hero sometimes. The cons of that, though, was the potential for some to feel like a teammate who did have a meta pick and then swapped was reducing their capacity to be effective or demonstrating their lack of faith in their teammate's ability to be effective.

LISTEN UP, HERES HOW YOU FIX THIS GAME! Sombra: keep infinite stealth, and when shot it will only reveal her for a second or 2 but if she doesn't get shot for 1/2 seconds she's back in full stealth. Hand hack gives Sombra information about the enemy (ability cooldowns and ult charge) and makes the enemy she hacks visible through walls for her and her team while hack is active. Her gun does increased damage and her ult only takes away abilities for 2/3/4 secs, no damage increase on hand hack and ult(the number of seconds can be decreased or increased). Make translocator how it was where you can place it anywhere and tp to it anytime Universal Rules: Bring 6v6 back. No one shots (except for certain ults). No immortality. No stuns to insta kill options (except for certain ults). Abilities should never cancel ults unless the ability kills the person using a ult. For example soldier rockets can kill a enemy ult but roadhog hook would only move ults like sigmas closer to him so he can shoot to kill him, but not cancel it completely. I hope I made this easy enough to understand. Fixing these easy to fix issues would make the game fun for everyone. Hard counters would be reduced majorly, one shot characters like widow and Hanzo wouldn't be so annoying to play against. Stuns would be nearly removed (aside from ults). As long as the devs follow these universal rules for all characters the game will be easier to balance, cause all you would have to do is increase or decrease damage/health/shield/healing/cooldown/resource meter numbers.

Face a hanzo at close range, and you'll win the engagement 90% of the time, specially for the fact that his arrows are back to pre season 9 hitboxes. Hanzo is one of the worst dps in the entire game, you're just getting diffed

The charge rate nerf was dumb, I understand that. What it did was turn him into more of a sniper, using storm arrows for close-range, which I can get behind if they didn't increase his health or if they tweaked storm arrows' hitbox.

He SHOULD be at that pre-S9 hitbox. No one-shot in this game should be easier to land than another. They all need to be heavily skill-dependent in the first place and getting one-shot by a pixel around a corner or even just getting dropped really low in a single arrow was stupid. You can say what you want about skill but from my experience when I've played Hanzo in the last 6 and a half years, he is not that difficult to be consistent with.

Do you actually consider farming a tank, uptime? Sombras spray does not have nearly enough range to shoot squishies from her frontline. so shes just going to hack tanks on cooldown and shoot tanks so the virus doesnt miss. Shooting tanks anywhere in diamond or above is a complete waste of time for dps. Noone will die. So is this really better? Not to mention this is a buff to spawn camping. She now has to time a translocater for when u leave spawn, but she does 20% more dmg to you while camping. The only nerf to that is, she has to wait an extra sec or 2 after your already dead to go inviz again. ROFL

@@elkosins1686 thats the beauty of virus. instead of doing nothing, a good sombra throws viruses every 5 sec and engages in positions to distract without the intent of getting an elimination. similar to a wrecking ball. forcing cooldowns such as immor, suzu, life grip, sleep, nade, thats what makes good sombra mains good. now she can no longer force cooldowns or distract. coming out of inviz within the 2 second radius of a cassidy is instant death now. Dont compare me to those plebs that hopped on my hero plz. rofl. My point is, this doesnt effect her uptime, it effects her survivability while distracting. her 1v1 dmg is increased so fighting isolated targets is easier, but her actual impact on a team fight is reduced to farming an unkillable raid boss for a nerfed ultimate. This effects the uptime of a shitty sombra, but the playmaking (cooldown forcing, and poke dmg) of an experienced sombra as well.

Has anyone noticed the trend yet? Every update breaks a META, to introduce a new broken META. They don't want all the roles to have fun, they just want 1 role to have fun per patch and they cycle it between tanks, dps and support in such a way that it is not obvious. For example tank might be OP for more than 1 patch, but at some point support will be the one that is OP again, or DPS. This is a sneaky tactic that keeps people playing, without having to balance their game. The only way they will ever balance this game, is if more people stop playing the game. That is why I stopped playing. I periodically check patches on yt vids such as this one to see if the game is worth playing again, because I used to love overwatch and would like to see a comeback.

I love the sound of these sombra changes, it looks to me like they have completely removed the invisible assasin playstyle because if she wants to position with invis, she doesnt have an escape anymore, she actually has to risk something now to have a go at a support. I also like the bob change, its stupid that sobra hsck can just remove an ult like that, obviously hack cancels other ults but the timing has to be perfect, the bob hack is dead easy and theres nothing an ashe can realistically do to prevent it from happening, bob does need a nerd though, he is getting rediculous considering the ashe player cqn continue to play her character normally whilst bob does his thing, unlike most ults which remove the characters standard cooldowns for the duration of the ult, think or orisa or junkrat. Cool changes though, was expecting an orisa microbuff this patch 😂 just got a bap buff instead

@@ilyesb95I agree he has an outdated kit, and in a perfect world he would get some tweaks to be more modern, but I think before the buffs it was a question of whether he could even function as a character in this game. After buffing his spread and making him better at assassinating squishes since he can’t bust tanks anymore has made him functional again, so I guess he’s not in DIRE need of a rework due to his kit actually working now. Before he was high on my rework list (because he was pretty sad, and I also love reaper and want to see what he could be) but now since he’s functional again, despite what I want to see happen, I think he got knocked down a bit.

The patches have shown it from the start man. The dev team is NOT GOOD ENOUGH to properly balance 5v5, and give it its own identity, instead of just being 6v6 lite. I genuinely also believe 6v6 makes it way harder for them to justify leaving these bullshit, lazily designed characters in the game (Orisa, hog, sigma, debatably). Removing perma stealth the same season as the Widow Mythic.... Worse uptime, Very tight timing windows with setting up, its not looking good. In certaint situations one would whip out the sombra 76 but it looks like that will be happening more often.
