Hi there, house is looking fantastic. Just an idea. Rather than replace worktops, a cheaper solution is marble/ granite/ quartz overlays. They fit over existing worktops and up stands. They can even do your windowsill. Cost about 40% of worktop replacement. Just as hard wearing and the look and feel of solid granite/marble quartz etc at a fraction of the price. I actually had granite tops and had overlays to change the colour, I didn’t like the colour when I moved into my home, it was what previous owners had chosen. But it looks fantastic. But a friend had done it three years before over a laminate worktop, upstanding and windowsill. You wouldn’t know it wasn’t a total replacement. They have had theirs 4 years and the laminate worktop underneath is around 12 years old. Honestly look into it. I used a small company local to me, that my friend had used. But go online, there are many companies who do this. Good luck and continue to enjoy your new home, it’s looking amazing already.

The cut out seems like the best most efficient choice you couldve gone for, so nice to see you didn't just knock it down, all I'm thinking with the gold cabinet handles if you get a Belfast sink I'd go gold tap to tie them in.

Our new build came with a space like that for a kitchen cupboard to go, turns out the builders just forgot to put it in. So they ended up coming back out to put it once we moved in! You've done a good job with it making it match so perfectly ❤

Hey great video! Im interested in buying a detached 3 bed with a garage. I was wanting to convert the garage straight away. Can you do this internally? I know you have to wait to do anything externally? Thanks!

We don't actually have a garage! but I would think they advise you to leave it to settle for 6months to a year, we've noticed some cracks in the house where it's moved, but really its up to you - it just may void your warranty so best to check it. We knocked down an internal wall because it was not a supporting one, but thats all we've done so far :) x

Trying to remember it all now: Downstairs is the only Herringbone Vinyl they offer (pretty sure) Bedroom and Bathrooms upstairs are HATARI 791 flooring Carpets were Mushroom Worktop was Alaska Doors were Porcelain Tiles are the two I'm struggling to remember but you will be able to tell, let me know if not and I can look back on files :) All standard no upgrades Hope this helps x

The last few British house tours I've watched all seem to be homes that are all white inside. Is this a trend in England? I also notice that people are leaving their windows bare and not using curtains. That has been a big trend in the US for some time although I've recently noticed that people are starting to bring them back into use a bit.

The new build houses tend to come white or magnolia as a standard and then you can paint them if you want, but tbh I prefer to buy coloured cushions etc so that I don’t have to repaint the walls too often 😂😂 oh wow! We have blinds now but it took some time to accumulate them ! Still a couple to go xxx I love curtains too I’d like some in the French door - Bethan
