Did you guys see that Veils Store now has 501st Jesse, Hardcase, and a new Appo? Just ordered them, picked up 2 Jesse so I can remove one of the helmets and use for the upcoming Black Series ARC trooper. It will need a little more blue, but definitely an easier custom than trying to do the entire republic logo. 👍🏻 Not to mention it looks like Hardcase includes a Z6 Rotary canon.

Thanks for pointing out the in-game face customization! I used to think the non-bearded look was inaccurate or a bad face print, but now it makes sense they stuck to a generic Cal face for a reason. Definitely not skipping this.

😂 Shame about the droids. I hate it when Hasbro ups their game on a figure and then the accessories and functionality are worse. The figures should progress and keep features as each one is improved and becomes available. Sloppy Hasbro.

Personally I prefer the head from the previous figures, I don’t mind the likeness being off I favour the inaccurate look of Cal.

Sal Bestis Eh? Absolutely no affiliation to this character at all, as the only sw game I ever played was rotj in an arcade when I was 9. I was really bad at it and "les 'rents" (parents, in french!😂) would only give me about 50p to play! Got the deluxe version of Mal, a couple of weeks ago, and he has the "boofiest" hair in all o' the galaxy!! Then I opened him, and found he'd entered my top 5 list of worst legs in the whole bs line, joining other "Leg Greats" such as Jyn.....Erso, that horrible L3 "thing" and Cody!! Literally, the jankiest legs since Jyn! He's also got an awful right elbow as well.... However, although the only reason I bought him was SA restocked him for £28, and I had massive FOMO, with also not having the pricey "origg", he's not a bad looking figurine, with some decent accessories, so I will pick this version up in time. Good, solid review here, with all 3 Dals together. Professional. I don't want to watch amateurs!! 😅😅

Great review, Nate! Shame about the missing paint apps on BD-1, but I don’t mind too much as I’ll be displaying him with the poncho Cal anyway as I’ve sadly misplaced my original white BD and am not a big fan of the red one.

Hello Nate thanks for sharing your thoughts on the new Cal figure. I have mine in My Loot Pile at BBTS. Oh no KX, took a dive lol 😂. Cal's head sculpt looks a little small compared to the original figure, not sure. Looking forward to adding this figure to my collection. Ordered Jabba from Hasbro pulse yesterday and a 3 pack of flight stands. I also ordered Jedi 40 Anniversary wave 3 from BBTS. Can't wait for them. @@davidedge2828 Hello David I'm glad you got another Jabba. I'm paying $90 US + 8 shipping I think it was Hashlo's standardized shipping in the US. I haven't seen the Maul figure Nor any store exclusives. I also ordered the new Omega figure . I was surprised Jabba was up so fast, but happy I ordered him. The removable helmet Vader looks great even missing his chain. And now you can get a clean R2-D2 figure, I'm looking forward to mine. And of course the new Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight and Royal Guard. Almost forgot I was gifted a one month membership by Jeff W. I think.

I did pick the TVC version, but I see all the same strengths and weaknesses. So both audiences are getting a nice Cal figure (and a first one for TVC). The only thing missing from TBS is an extra hilt as well, the TVC has no butterfly joints. I don’t expect it to be a peg warmer after the game’s launch… if the game is actually good. A great modern TVC entry and a nice addition to TBS overall thanks to the all-new mold.

My only grip with this figure was the fact that the game has been massively updated with so much yet they didn't make this a deluxe? I'd have liked the new larger lightsabre, the duel wield and double end to be included aswell and anything else unique to this game

My guess is they didn’t know about all that stuff. Hasbro has confirmed in the past that Lucasfilm only lets them know so much. I’d suspect we will see another release with more/ different accessories in the future. -Nate

Great review Nate. My Cal just shipped from BBTS yesterday so I’m excited to get him in hand! The likeness is good but something about the mouth specifically is off to me. Can’t wait to get him in and have Fallen Survivor at the end of the month. Gotta love having figures related to media before or during release!

So very off topic comment but i was bored yesterday and remembered when we talked In last Lazy Sunday stream about Who should have darksaber with logic of Guns for Hire episode. So i decided To try figure it out. Its pretty much impossible To know for sure and There is so much lore To go through so i definetly missed something. But: Pre Vizsla has saber In Season 2 of Clone Wars. Obi-Wan defeates him In same episode. Then Obi gets defeated by daughter In first Mortis episode. Anakin defeates her In sameone. Then Father knocks Anakin out In Third episode of that arc. Then Anakin kills father (and Son) In same episode. Then it gets conplicated. Aquadroids capture Anakin In Mon Cala episode. Now its impossible To know Who defeates that Aquadroid. Could be some random gungan as far as we know. But lets pass that Aquadroid thing. Then Dooku defeates Anakin In episode where Gungans captures Grievous. Mother Talzin defeates Dooku In Nightsister massacre episode. Same episode Grievous defeates Talzin. Hondo Ohnaka kinda defeates Grievous In Last yongling arc episode with Slave 1. Then character called Lassa Rhayme defeates Hondo In some book/comic. She is still undefeated after that. But lets say Hondo defeating Grievous dosent count. Then Quinlan Vos defeates Grievous In Dark Diciple Book. Vos gets defeated by Dooku In same Book. Dooku gets defeated by Mauls Shadow Collective In Son of Dathomir comic. Now it is again impossible To say Who defeates Mauldorians. Could be random Seperatist Droid. So lets say Maul got right To rule. Sidious defeates Maul In same comic. Windu defeates Sidious In Revenge of the Sith. Sidious defeates Windu almost immedietly. Then i have now idea if something happens earlier but what i found Vader defeates Sidious In Return of the Jedi. Vader dies and sword passes To Luke. Then again no idea if something happens but Kylo defeates Luke In Last Jedi flashback. Then Rey defeates Kylo In Rise of Skywalker. So WookieSin is kinda right. Rey is rightful owner of Saber. Kinda

Lmaoooooo this is insane! I read it as the Emperor defeating Maul and Savage on Mandalore so it's really the Emperor who is the proper wielder. But yeah I guess Obi did "defeat" him. I think it all depends on if it's an actual "sanctioned" challenge. Kind of like a trial by combat. Like when Maul directly confronts Pre and gives him the whole "I challenge you one warrior to another and only the strongest shall rule" speech. I just don't know! -Justin

I was really looking forward to getting this, but I forgot that it was plastic free packaging by the time it actually came, and I was super disappointed because I don't unbox. So, it was nice to see this review and what it looks like and can do. I hope we eventually get Cere Junda since there aren't that many force users played by actors of color.

Fair review. I'm not big into the Gaming Greats. Even if I were, I'd pass on this one. Aside from the lightsaber and the droid, you wouldn't know this was a Star Wars figure. He could be from the GI Joe Classified series.
