Kind of off topic to new laws, but something I learned the other day about SB2 from what a friend is going through. Apparently in that suck of a bill if you had some kind of probation you cannot get a CCW until up to 10 years after probation started. The most BS thing about it is that it is retroactive and also applies to renewals. My buddy went to renew his CCW the other day, which he has had for 2 years now, and was denied because of what was done in SB2. He got a DUI in 2017, probation was up in 2022. SB2 got passed and they denied his renewal until 2027! He has contacted GOA and other local firearms law firms, and apparently there is already a case, at the Federal level, being prepared with something around 7000 people on it.

@ I’m retired, my wife found a good paying job in Indiana It turns out that Indiana is a “WiLL” issue state no permit needed! It’s a little bit colder than California, but the cost of living is 30 percent cheaper than California And you better like STEAK It looks like 1 out of 3 restaurants are steak restaurants! 😋 NO SF fake FO- FO food here! Fresh fruit and vegetables are a little bit hire than California, but gas is 1.25 cheaper, and no smog checks every two years on your car!

The Nguyen v. Bonta case has an injunction against enforcement of the 1 in 30 entirely, so the loss of the PPT exception has no effect (as of now). Best not to wade into CA gun law unless you are very into it. It changes daily.
