Many of you are optimistic that the project will advance enough to allow for a partial opening during the season, while others remain skeptical and prefer that the stadium be fully operational and completed on schedule for 2026. It's only 4 months til the end of the year and the supposed reopening at 60% capacity and to be fair I'm confident they can reach the deadlines at some point in January. Let's see why based on day to day observation analysis, not suppositions: 1.- First and most important, let's fix expectations: It's a "work in progress" opening. No fancy VIP areas, no awesone exterior decoration, no cover, no whatever be not strictly necessary. Let's then continue seeing what is needed and what not. 2.- The outer metal structure is 0% needed, except for these concrete beams of the first level. They will give a roof for the ring arounf the 1957 Camp Nou, which is important in terms of safety for pedestrians accessing the stadium. 3.- The 1957 Camp Nou was fully operational in may 2023 and it's been revamped. From visible progress, in september-october all the 1st and 2nd tier will be ready. From previous work, painting should take 2-3 weeks, and seats are placed at a gasping rate of 100 seats in 20 minutes. 4.- The interior is in unknown state, but even if not fully finished it will allow circulation and have working toilettes (add chemical units if needed) and if you ever worked for a "festa major" you know how much it takes to put the fridges and beer fountains from the Damm beer guys. Zero Michelin stars Frankfurt sausage sandwiches don't require much infrastructure. That's enough. 5.- Covering the parkings... a lot to be done here! Long to explain, but they are on the way to reach street level cover for a 60% of the platform connecting three sides of the stadium to street access. People in the know of former Camp Nou will remember that only a 20% of the perimeter allowed entrance, and 80% of the previous full street level space was used for parking (actually, the 4th side I left aside was not accessible for pedestrians). So, not counting the space under the third stand, there is gonna be even more space for pedestrian access. 6.- Match day services require another list (did I previously say "too long"? :D ) a) A green pitch: Installed in two weeks at some 200K EUR, next. b) Lighting: Hope someone kept the old stadium lights in a warehouse :) Not that difficult to put them on some beams, but there's an important task of installing new electric transformer in the place of the old ones. They should plug into the old installation and/or a new parallel one, don't know the details. c) Changing rooms and press room. Their space has already been constructed, so fine details can be deployed right now. d) Some amenities for VAR, TV control, journalists... ask them not to complain if they start surounded by Pladur/Drywall walls. And that should have them going. From the startup world, it's applying the "lean startup" concept: Start with the minimum needed but start early. Then measure and focus on the necessary for growth. Feels like the underground project is very time consuming, once it's done I believe everything would be fast and noticeable in the stadium progress. Also if by the october somehow they can concrete all the metal structures at the first ring and installing the slabs for the 1st ring and 2nd ring base I guess it would be possible otherwise it won't be at december/january, as you said not to mention about electricity and plumbing. With the neighborhood restriction, I'm just hoping they add more workers on the site. *edited for mistyping

What about the possible weather conditions in December 2024 / January 2025 and having an unroofed stadium (rain, cold, wind)? Maybe I will stay home and not show up when its open at 60% in Dec/Jan.

@@haightonNot going there is up to you, people will still go there apparently rather go to the montjuic. Also It's Barcelona, snow is very rare, eventhough it's winter season it's still sunny over there. It won't be a huge problem for the construction work or comeback to camp nou.

Maybe it's not December, maybe February with Champions League final rounds and Clasico in May. They need to open at least on February and i think it's possible with partial work done. You only need February to 18th May, last home game in La Liga. Then you can continue woking hard 3 months till next La liga start. And you can do like Madrid did, start 3 or 4 games away and start to play again last days of September.

Seguro que habrá apertura parcial. El barça necesita cuanto antes regresar al estadio en cuanto el Camp Nou de 1957 ofrezca mas capacidad que el estadio de Montjuic (60.000), para empezar a recuperar económicamente (recaudar más y al mismo tiempo no pagar alquiler de Montjuic). Lo que es dudoso es que esto se de ya en enero. El debate esta en cuando se dará ese momentro, pero Limak tiene una penalizacion de 1 millon de € diario por retraso, o sea que van a tope para lograrlo
