The 2020 Can-Am Defender 6X6 has arrived and it is nothing short of 6 wheels of insanity. This overly capable machine gives riders the ability to operate in 6 wheel drive as well as some other new features you just have to hear about.

The Can-Am Defender 6X6 DPS appears to be an amazing machine! This is the first year Can-Am has introduced this 6 wheel model and it is nothing short of impressive. Apart from the clearly visible 6 wheels this Can-Am Defender is rocking, there are some other amazing capabilities and features that this side by side brings to the market.
One of the biggest additions to the 6X6 DPS is the massive 6-foot box! Which to help put it in perspective, is longer than a full-size crew cab truck box! In addition to its size, this box has the ability to remove the sides, allowing for even larger items by using it as a flatbed. There is also the addition of an electric assist you can have added on if you feel the need.
As for the engine, The Can-Am Defender 6X6 has been beefed up to 82 hp and sports a Pro Torq transmission all of which provides for a 3,000-pound towing capacity. This beast also comes with 13 inches of ground clearance and 27" Maxxis tires. It should also be noted though, that this Defender 6X6 can handle 30" tires without any additional modifications.
What are your thoughts on this machine? I think it seems like an absolutely amazing machine, and I would love the opportunity to build one out. It already seems so capable, image what you could build this beast into! Oh, the possibilities of the 2020 Can-Am Defender!
As always, thanks for watching and I hope to see you on the trail!

Already checked it out and did their build app. $25,000. with accessories. Then I started the fantasy build. Added another $35,000 in aftermarket pieces. Already named it the Brontosaurus due to it's massive size. Even thought about getting it wrapped with a Bronto theme. Looks to be an interesting platform. Bye, bye Polaris. You should of updated your old design to your new 1000.

hahaha! I have to laugh at this because it sounds exactly like something I would do. Make a common build to get an idea, the make the build I would buy if money wasn't an option, haha! Way to take it a step further and name it! You shouldn't have done that because now you will end up getting attached. haha, thanks for the post Robert. Let me know if you end up picking up Brontosaurus!

Lots of 6 wheel drive ATV and utvs already out there. I have been looking at the trail class 1 utvs. Have you seen the American landmaster utvs? Brakes fixed on my ATV.

Yea I know, Jolsen. In fact I think Polaris has had the Ranger six wheeler since like 1991? But it's new to the Defender and I love the 6 wheel drive concept! Gets me excited 😀 No, I haven't heard of the American Landmaster, where are they out of?

Midwest ATV FYI Polaris stopped making that !!! No one else makes it that I know of !! So can am stepped up to do it !!! Not to mention Polaris 6+6 were good until they break and they broke a lot. They wore out to quick imo so you have to have the parts line on speed dial !! This thing should be way better then the Polaris. All though can ams are more pricey then the others but you will probably spend less time under it !! Imo.

Lol. I have to be honest, I have opposite feelings about that old ranger. In fact, to this day my grandpa has a 1991 Polaris Ranger 6x6 that still runs good. And he has used the crap out of it over the years! And in the backwoods, but just toting around gravel road. I guess it's all about your own experiences though that can play a role on how you feel about a certain machine. Make no mistake though, like you I am super pumped about the 6X6 Defender! I would loooove to build one of those out.

What ever they build it has to fit in the back of my pick up truck so I can hook up my camper and go. So no way can I buy such a large vehicle to take camping. This vehicle is for a farm or something. Getting a Can Am 6x6 outlander.

Yea, most side by sides (except maybe a small trail model) is going to fit into the bed of a truck without series customization! If that's what you need, sounds like an ATV is what you are looking for. Those Can Am 6x6's are Amazing by the way!! Let me know how you like it.
@Ram-re5em

This defender 6x6 would be nit be anywhere near as good as a can am outlander 6x6 1000 The weight to horse power ratio is way better for the 1000 outlander and is smaller and can go way more placed that this titanic very large wide thing.

😆 yea I know it has. I think Polaris has been doing it with the Ranger since the early 90's. It's just new to the Defender and 6 wheel machines get me fired up! Plus with the 6 foot bed and the huge towing capacity, it's just a beast...before even building it out.
