The STi just needs shifter bushings to remove the play in neutral. Also I agree on the clutch part; Subaru clutches are hard to get used to IMO.

Everyone loves the 22B, me too but in my opinion the R AR is the best Subaru ever made. I own a JDM Hawkeye STI for the road and a 1994 Type RA for the track. If you're going to get one get a RA , they are the most extreme versions with similar performance to Evo's.

Hey Sam, Sorry about the 3.4.. I'd love to take this opportunity to talk about people who talk about Evo vs Subaru. They compare in stock form.. and what cars are stock after we get them? none. So main differances in stock form is forged pistons and stronger gearbox and drivetrain in the evo. I agree that out of the box evo is better but you do pay extra $$ for it. But personally I've always loved the sounds and looks of a Gc8 Subaru over and any evo anyday. So my approach and what I did to my Gc8 in 2013 was upgrade motor to a 2.2L stroked forged Cosworth internal setup. Runs 19 psi all day on a safe tune with Process West tmic and its super responsive and the torque is perfect for a weekend warrior that I can still safely put my kids into on holis or to the shops. Plus I still easily get 650kms to a tank. Haven't spent a cent since motor install besides a new battery every 2-3 years : ) Keep up the awesome content man ; )

Hey Dylan, I haven't actually dyno'd her but repeatedly outdraged my mates 280hp (fresh off dyno Forester). So since my cars a lil lighter my guess is around 240-250hp atw. It's all torque so that's very approx.. could be more. Next move is bigger turbo, injectors, ecu inc flex e85 my end goal I'll be aiming towards a super conservative 300hp safely.

I was gonna buy a JDM sti tomorrow. High spec. But they're just not practical. They break way too easily. I had a WRX JDM classic v2. It was crap. Always developed a missfire. So I'm gonna stick with my BMW m57 engine. They're bulletproof 👌✌️👍. Scooby's are junk.

Yeah, I looked it up later. looks like another vac leak on the lines the boost gauge uses. so it's reading less boost than it's getting. Which scares me. Cause it was showing 1.5bar & if its .5bar out.... He was running the car with 2bar of boost lol.

First edition in sedan, 08+ in hatch back and the new Impreza in hatch back. No wrx or sti in the new version yet but like how it looks so wrx will probably be minto. A bit of an unpopular opinion but I have reasons.

LONG STORY AHEAD!! We used to have an 06 Subaru Legacy Limited with an automatic transmission. Honestly I'll never forget the stability that car had taking turns, literally glued to the road kind of grip. Automatic transmission was way short though with a 4 speed and was like choking bad after 70mph like it had no more gearing. Drove it out of an almost unshoveled snowed in parking spot and it tanked right through like a knife in hot butter. Gas mileage was terrible no matter what we did 13-14mpg but it had a cool rumble. Valve cover gaskets were a learning experience 😊

The I/C light coming on means that it's got low levels of water in the tank. And as for the seat height, there is a lever on the side of the seat to lower the seat. Or so my jdm v7 sti here in NZ anyway.
