I was 6 years old at Lockwood Ave Elementary when this hit, I was in 1st grade, and I will never forget how intense the shaking was, if I recall if was in the morning right before classes even started. RIP Ms. Van Dusen for keepinge safe

I was living in Lakewood and saw the ground roll. A school bus was full of kids being dropped off at school. The school bus rocked back and forth. Kids were screaming.

It was my first day at Blair high school in Pasadena from transferring from Los Angeles, the office lady said to me " hello good morning, welcome to Blair high" when it started Rocking up and down...we all ran outside, others pushed or dove under desks!cRaZy memory til this day oct 1st 1987
