Picked up a bottle of Paris-Paris yesterday also and its quite enjoyable scent. Very effervescent but long lasting. Paris -Dauville is still my favorite :)

I enjoy the whole Les Eaux collection. The way I think of them is that they represent Coco's life experiences in those places at that time in history. They are light but they are complete (to me).

They are lovely to layer. Paris-Paris layered over Comete I wore today. I have used it multiple times with Allure, which just makes me happy! Keep in mind, I am not too into Allure on its own. But with Paris-Paris on top, the scent is magic. I like Edimbourg way more than I expected, because those notes are not my usual favorites. Somehow the way Olivier Polge put them together is way more than the sum of the parts would seem on paper. Quite lovely. Paris-Paris is right now my favorite though, but they are all pretty amazing.

Give it time. It gets better. Not just the development on the skin, but as it is used and some oxygen enters the bottle, it gets deeper and more lovely. At first it seemed so light and like it was near non-existent in a few minutes. A few weeks later, it’s been in heavy rotation, it is warmer, deeper, more complex and lasts a good length of time. It is like a different fragrance from first sprays. It is now a real love! Would love to hear back about it in a month or so.

Picked up some Paris Paris yesterday. There is an accord to it that reminds me of Terre d'Hermes. I love it on its own - it has majestic longevity and great sillage, but would like to experiment with layering it on Acqua di Parma Oud for winter.

This one is nice and gentle but not distinct. Venice is my fav too. What if Le Lion had a big Rose to contrast the labdanum given its targetted toward the middle east😁 may be too obvious

Because in the 30es almost no-one paid attention to this. Chanel as the current company we still know was born in 1954 when she came back to fashion. Compare with the hundreds scents launched by Guerlain... Chanel rarely discontinues. Allure sensuelle pure perfume only.

I like the juices, but the bottles are ridiculous. I find them basic and simply a joke on the consumer. They “work” because of the Chanel branding, otherwise they are an insult.

That bottle totally reminds me of Zara's Jo Malone collection. 😄 Looks even lower quality than the Vibrant Leather fragrances which have suprisingly strong magnetic caps. Ahhh well. I'd still take a Chanel fragrance over those any day, but at that price point... Appreciate your impressions as always Eugen! ❤
