Oooh great review, Grace, thank you. I have enjoyed wearing the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink lately as I’ve found it lasts several hours even under a mask but they’re matte, so actually I think the finish of these is nicer. I do find the duos a bit too glossy on some occasions so these look to be right up my alley. Great shade choices too.

Thanks for this review, it’s been among the most helpful thus far, particularly the swatches as mentioned by others. As to where to fit it into your routine, although perhaps not in mask-wearing times, I suspect the ‘one and done’ more modern, compact and comfortable formulation are the key selling points. As for the claims, they are specifically worded as ‘up to’, so while all reviews I’ve seen are favourable, technically as long as they were comfortable and pigmented at all then they’ve come through.

Great review! I really enjoyed the whole presentation and wear test. I have six of the Tenue as well as two of these Allure Laques, and I agree with you on your observations. I bought 72 Iconique (a muted red), and 81 (forgot the name, but the darkest one they have), and I think they are beautiful, BUT perhaps because they are darker, they wear off in a patchy sort of way. The formula is very similar to the Tenue Duo, in terms of whipped consistency of product, but the two colors I bought don’t last much beyond a normal lipstick (4-5 hours max). They are not mask proof either, and sadly, I have to ask myself that these days when purchasing lipsticks. Bought another Tenue in brick red afterward because I love that formula much more, and will wear it with confidence under a mask.

Both of those colors look great on you! I also thought they might be similar to the cle de peau of which I have 2. Even after 8 hrs it seemed to leave a nice stain on the lip. I think the Cle de Peau was the same but glossier. Thank you for the review!

❤️Thank you! The duos are the most difficult to remove for me. I'll use a combination of cleansing balm and micellar water. Sometimes if that still leaves a stain behind, I'll incorporate olive oil. Usually these are harder to remove from my arm when I swatch them ✨

So, in short, Rouge Allure Inks = matte finish; Rouge Allure Laques = satin finish; Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenues = glossy finish... would that be right? I get around 4 hours wear from the Ink Fusion shade I have, even behind a mask, and I love the feel of it on my lips (so lightweight) but I think I’d prefer the satin finish of the Laque to be honest. The duos do wear ever so well, even through meals, but I find the full on glossy lip too much for my work - I feel like I’m heading on a night out. 😂 I think I need a Laque in life. Beautiful shades on you, Grace. Thanks for sharing.
