New changes to the Off Shore Tackle OR12 Side Planer for 2017!

You can achieve these mods without buying new flags or new boards. If you need more tension, just cut the spring down with a metal shear to your liking. It will increase the tension without having to buy the new flags. The eye bolt that holds the sliding metal wire can be moved down easily...just drill a new hole. The weight can be moved forward by either cutting out the styrofoam above the weight slot so the weight will fit snugly OR you can take a hot blade and cut the tab out that prevents the weight from sliding forward... very easy to do. I think they suck enough money out of people by selling everything separately for insane amounts of money. When you can buy used on eBay. Save your money for gas and lures people.

Mark - what a coincidence to find your 2017 update! On an episode of Fishing 411 a few years back, you and Jack discussed the particulars of using OR12's and I believe you also mentioned upgrading one or both of the release clips. As I'm prepping for a week on Lake Nipissing in 3 weeks, I'm looking to add planer boards to the system. BTW, I'm continuing to LOVE the rod corral tip from another of your episodes. Unfortunately, Verizon FIOS discontinued carrying WFN programming which was a huge loss of so many great entertaining and instructional shows, yours included! Could you shoot me the particulars on how you'd optimally set up your board system for walleyes, northern and musky?... thanks, Geoff

How about you do a video with out the flag system. Like how it comes when you buy it? buy something and then have to buy something to upgrade it to get the flag to work...... Every video I ever see is with a flag that has a spring. Why don't you sell that with the planer board....
