Ok so basically when we see that blue and pink fate if we get a 5 star it means we loss but the radiant saved us and now we got the limited character.

from what i understood: when the new wishing mechanic triggers, it rerolls your lost. it gives you a slightly better odds of winning the limited 5 star character(55/45 instead of 50/50). my guess is you can still lose 55/45 so its not a guaranteed win if you trigger the new wishing mechanic

Bascially it means it will stay the same :), here I thought Genshin would do something crazy but, I guess they could never. If I lose 9 out of 10 50/50s (which I do), then the 50/50s are actually 10/90 for me, and then I can add another 10/90 on top of that, just means I will win slightly more but, pretty much no difference. If you on the other hand usually gets 50/50 of it all then there's still no greater difference, 55/45, Yeah.. I had my hopes up! I actually believed!

Only thing is that the chance of triggering capturing radiance is most likely going to be low. So if your a person with very little luck. You probably wont trigger capturing radiance.

The chance is a 10% roll performed separately after the initial 50/50 roll results in a loss. Since the 10% roll is performed half the time, the actual effect on your 5-star probability is 5%, giving you the new "overall odds" of pulling a limited 5-star at 55-45 win/lose ration.

Persons with "very little luck" are persons who try to wish for a limited 5-star with only 40 fates (or less) and EXPECT to get that limited 5-star 100%... "Luck" isn't attached to any one person. It's random. And random means "not certain". And when nothing is certain, anything is possible. It can happen to anyone. And we can "influence" the outcome of certain situaitons by better preparing for it. 👌

At first I thought it was just boosting 50/50 but with extra steps, but now I see that it’s more so if you trigger it, it’s life getting two confirmed limited because you’ll get it in that pull, but also means the next pull is guaranteed which is awesome.

If you see the Capturing Radiance you are guaranteed to get the character based on what they said. The guy in the dev stream literally said "if you see it you are definitely going to get the limited character" meaning it should be a 100% chance to get the character if you see it...

"Radiance capture" is an event that has 10% chance of triggering when you loose 5050 on 5050. So it just literally converts your 5050 lose in 5050 win.

Capturing Radiance is permanent. What they meant is that, it only applies to the event exclusive banners 1 and 2. Meaning, Capturing Radiance only works for the limited timed character banners and not on the standard and weapon banners.

So, to summarize what I understand is, if the 50/50 is lost, the “Capturing Radiance” would occur and there is an extra 10% chance to win the featured character. If the “Capturing Radiance“ is won, it will be signaled by an Intertwined Fate followed by a purple color effect. On the other hand, if the 50/50 is won and the “Capturing Radiance” is lost, the animation displays no additional effects but the golden glow.

if capturing radiance triggers and you get the limited character, i think it'll just go back to 50/50 for the next one, like it normally would. the way i understand this is, there's like a 10% (actually only 5%) chance that the game takes pity on you and changes its mind in the last second when you are about to lose your 50/50 to a standard banner character 😅

So you lost your 50/50 and you got the 10% Capturing Radiance, then your 50/50 lose is 100% converted into a win. Meaning Capturing Radiance changed your loss into the character you wished for. Also Capturing Radiance doesn't mess with the guarantee system so your next 5 star is guaranteed.

No, You are getting a limited 5*, that will reset the pity and you are back to 5050. Radiance capture just coverts your 5050 loose into 5050 win, so it's same as you won 5050.

You almost got it. The only thing I want to add is, it triggers when you lose the 50/50. 10% chance to trigger it while losing. If triggered it’s a guaranteed to get the limited character. The 55/45 is the win rate/ loss rate, meaning your chance of winning a limited 5 star with Capturing Radiance is 55%.

The article points this out. They say that the Capturing Radiance wont affect the guarantee. The only thing it does is give you a better chance at winning. So yes, your next 5 star is guarantee.

Heres my question: if you lose the 50/50, then proc capturing radiance and get the limited character anyway, does the game still consider it a 50/50 loss, and you have a guarantee for your *next* 5 star, or does it change your 50/50 loss to a win, leaving you on a 50/50 for your next 5 star?
