i don’t really understand why some people are so upset about her being added to the game. sure, it breaks the lore but in reality its content, which i believe is what tcm needs. this game and its story is all about her so to not have her in the game is criminal.

I don’t mind retconning her, but the way they altered the storyline was a bit lazy writing, with many leaks of confirmation dev posts, voice lines, etc. of Maria’s death, etc and then backpedaling on the petals storyline quite killed the lore factor. But it’s good they added more content I suppose.

So the best explanation I've seen to make the lore still work is within the lore she's dead. She actually died with Virginia trying to escape. Danny actually died at Nancy's house while separated from the OG 5. The fact that we can play them is just for the game but the actual story has them all dying with Maria, Virginia, and Danny being dead before the OG 5 were taken.

There's plenty of voice lines each character probably has that was recorded but it doesn't mean it needs to be used. Sick of leaks in general and glad they're contradicting themselves so the leaks people have something to cry about.

I'm thinking that Grandpa can give Maria away like all of the other victims. However, you can counter it by activating her ability before approaching him. Also the thought of a huge ass 7 foot dude with a tiny hammer is hilarious. I love that he can truck people like Leland too. Its gonna make for some hysterical moments.

They finally rework the skill tree ! Those random perk were a horrible idea. The fact that you had to reset your skill tree countless times to have the build you want was just a waste of time, glad there're changing it.

I honestly would prefer a more watered down DBD style perk system. It's really fun to meticulously craft a build and put it in the water to see if it floats. But then again, TCM perks are pretty boring and don't do much aside from make you run faster or do more damage.

In which case, objectives/doors/gates wont be trapped, it's a toss off... risk grandpa being Maria'd and help with escape defense. Or help with defending grandpa and risk objectives being done faster.
