I’m so glad you used a minimal amount of product. Most folks seem to just pile on product in their videos! I’m still torn about this because even though alcohol is lower on the list, there’s still a few ingredients that can be irritating. Looks beautiful on you!

I agree with your review. My favorite thing about this product is how transfer proof it is... I didn't think it would be great in that aspect. It might not work with some primers. The first time I used water cloud by cover FX, and it was terrible. The foundation clung to my lines, didn't do anything for my pores and I was really bummed about it. Gave it another try without primer and very little powder and bam... amazing!

I think I’ve cracked it! Instead of dotting the foundation on my face (although I only used a tiny bit) I did what you did and used the beauty blender to pick up the foundation from the back of my hand and dot it on my face and this gave a much smoother and more even coverage which DIDN’T emphasise any dry patches or pores. Thanks for that tip! I see that you will be reviewing the Kevyn Aucoin balm foundation. I have got this and tbh had a similar experience with that as the CT Airbrush. The way I solved that is to use the brush that comes with it but again to take a tiny bit on the end of the brush and not stroke it on to the face like I’ve seen some people do and really press on then buff in but to hold the brush really lightly and hardly use any pressure at all to buff it straight in. Again you hardly need to use any product so even though these foundations are expensive they should last ages!!

Hi! I usually don't follow your foundation suggestions but today I have to 100% agree with you about this gem from CT. I am 50 with extremely dry skin and I live in SoCal. I have found that my best way to apply is with Milk blur Stick for my pesky pores then my Sonja G foundation brush and lightly sweep it over my face. I will then set it with her Genius powder and it looks just as flawless as your application. Thank you for putting out fantastic content. I just got my ring light so I should be doing content very soon. Have a nice Labor Day Holiday ♥️

I like the natural lighting but it’s hard to see the coverage when you’re applying it unless you’re pulled in closer. But I’m also viewing on an iPad 🤷‍♀️. The foundation reminds me of IT CC. Cream which I’ve been trying and like although my oil comes through but not in a bad way. It gives you a beautiful glow! Thank you for this great review!

I was so excited to get this foundation and I received it two days ago and ever since I have been wishing I would have just ordered the hourglass stick foundation because this foundation drys down so much on my skin and sinks into my fine lines and makes them stand out, and I used the bare minimum and used my hourglasses primer . So I’m just going to send it back and get the stick foundation instead and I have normal to dry skin.

Years ago, (like 2003), I wore Elizabeth Arden Flawless Foundation, but have read they changed the formula. I remember how beautiful it wore on my skin. Reading foundation reviews on Sephora, Ulta, Macy's etc is so confusing! I am never sure if some people are too picky or being honest with their experience. But usually I end up more confused!😖 I will look into CT Magic foundation. Thank you for the suggestion! Even though you have a tendency towards oily skin, I appreciate mentioning alternatives for normal/dry.🌞

I have combo, sensitive, prone-to-breakout skin, and live in humid FL. I'm curious as to how this foundation is going to wear over time (months, etc) as it claims to boost hydration levels that much. I decided to watch this one a bit. I thought the shade descriptions were a hard read on her site, rather get a sample @ Sephora & check reviews. Hey, I did try the Dior Body finally. So beautiful! Thanks for the recommendation. My face was slightly burning....I may have to wear it a few times, see if my skin can tolerate. Darn those fragrances & particular alcohols. I got a shade deeper than normal & was a little nervous. My girls complemented the fact my head matched my body! Good summer shade. ;)

I'm glad you like the look of the Dior! Have you tried a primer underneath to see if it helps place a barrier between? Maybe that will help? That's awesome the shade does so well! I also check reviews and google vs relying on Sephora and brand sites for shade matching. I've had really bad luck with shade matching that way! Thank you!

Tiny bit dewy in spots but pretty! I think the reaction may have been from a powder I was using more than the foundation. Did some testing. ;) This is a good one.

Hello Steph, I am a new follower and I am interested in purchasing the new Charlotte Tilbury Flawless makeup, I usually wear Revlon colorstay fresh beige 250 what colour do you think would be a good match? 7 Neutral, I noticed you trial Revlon 240 in colorstay, so my colour isn't too far off, I have lots of red to cover, mid toned skin with freckles. The match maker on the website says 3 warm, but I know thats too light for me. Some help would be good, when it costs that much.

Hi Kate! Thanks for subscribing! Unfortunately, other than the shade I have, I'm not familiar with every shade in the range beyond googling and researching them all like anyone else. I don't have full in-person access to the foundation either. My advice would be to watch several reviews to see if you find anyone with a shade close to you, check out online reviews, see if you can decipher from the descriptions on the website and possibly call CT to see about getting samples sent to you first. However, you can check my foundation matches here (it's always linked in my description box): www.stephaniemarieblogs.com/2017/09/nc25-matches/ and see my Revlon CS shade is 240. Since I'm 6N, I'd say shade 3 would indeed be way too light for you! 😘

They both cover well but are totally different types of foundations. :)

That’s because it oxidizes, so it goes a shade darker when it dries down. Here is the useful tip that is posted up on CT’s website:: Your overtone is what you see in the mirror, and your undertone is determined by the colour of the veins on the underside of your wrist! If they are a bluish-purple colour, it means you’re on the COOL side, greenish means you are WARM and if they look bluish-green, you are likely to be NEUTRAL!

To anyone wondering if this foundation would work on dry skin, I’d say it depends how dry you are. But you are truly dry it will NOT work, it will look super patchy and cling to those dry patches and accentuates them. I think it’s perfect for oily skin, combination or normal.

Hello Stephanie ! Thank you for this review ! I have normal/dehydrated skin and that foundation dries out my face like crazy ☹️. It’s emphasized all of my wrinkles and look very « makupy » I try this with a very hydrating primer and the second day I try to add a drop of face oil . When it’s freshly apply, it’s beautiful but when the foundation dries down the results are always the same.... I love Charlotte Tilbury products but unfortunately this foundation doesn’t work for me. Have you tried the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light? I have skin like yours and it works really well for me.

It looks gorgeous!! I think you used just enough. I’ve seen a lot of people put it on and it is total coverage like, wow! And that made me not so interested in it anymore but seeing you use it lightly I’m still interested!! I haven’t tried the magic foundation because I saw so many bad reviews. I just got my Light Wonder and the Flawless powder among many other things the other day from Sephora and I love it!!! But😫💰😫💰😫💰💰💰💰 lolol
