We have a similar skin tone and I also picked up the color fair in three new cream bronzer. I have the color medium in the powder bronzer. The fair has a unflattering tone on my skin. I did try my friends in the medium and don’t like that either. The medium is considerately darken and has a sight orange tone. I think I’ll stick with the powder bronzer.

I have the airbrush bronzer in fair for the winter and the filmstar duo I use that in the summer. Besides that I have Hoola light/Hoola that I mix along the seasons. For contour I have the contourwand and I don't do that always. I'm fine.

I personally love a cool-toned bronzer. I know there is a fine line between bronzer and contour with some products, but as a super fair cool leaning gal, warmer bronzers look orange on me because I would never tan to that level of warmth. It's tough to find the perfect spot!

I am thrilled that it is a cooler tone bronzer because almost all bronzers pull very warm. The Chanel looks so orange on me. Those of us who are light/fair often have a cool undertone and have trouble finding a good bronzer that doesn’t look orange. We will not naturally tan so we will never be naturally deep so we just look orange. The Saie bronzers and the Westman Atelier bronzer stick are the only 2 I have found that do not pull orange.

I have been wanting to get the Chanel bronzer forever and was just about to buy it when this new product was released. But based on your thoughts I think Chanel might be the right one for me. I’m a 2N in Dior, & bought the medium CT cream bronzer. When I opened it I was like “Oh dear, that’s soooooo dark!” But it’s absolutely gorgeous, go lightly & it blends out beautifully 😊 seeing reviews of the fair shade, I’m so glad I got the medium, has the fair is too much like a contour 🙄

Hi Jena! Do you prefer that Chanel cream bronzer over the CT? I always debate pulling the trigger on the Chanel. ESP since one influencer reported the Chanel forms a hard layer on top over time.

I find the Chanel does much better if you keep the see through lid over top of it under the Chanel lid to keep it as moist as possible! Mine has lasted years without a hard layer! Because of the high concentration of coconut oil in the new Chanel formula, it has much more slip and feels more lightweight than the Charlotte. But it can pull too warm and borderline orange on some skin tones! If you have a Chanel counter just give it a swatch and see, but I prefer the formula of the Chanel a bit more than Charlotte at the moment :)

Nice discussion of these. I use a duo fiber brush with Chanel and it’s perfect for “faking” an all over tan. I don’t use it like a contour and don’t understand why anyone would. Not interested in the CT because I have other cream bronzers & contours. I used to love CT but we’re on a break. The romance has faded.

I’m almost kicking myself for not checking this product out while I was at Sephora the other day. I loooove cream bronzers; I've nearly hit pan on my beloved Nars limited edition cream bronzer in Laguna from last year and I've been on the hunt for a replacement - this looks perfect! 😍 As a very fair gal with warm undertones (I KNOW... the struggle lol), finding a perf bronzer is a challenge - I'm always looking for a cooler/contour color! 👐💞 As for the powder bronzer, it might make its way into my cart too. The contour wand is cooler, and seems to be a bit creamier than this product! This bronzer seems a bit heavier in consistency, and a bit stiffer overall :) I will definitely try the medium shade to get more warmth!

The dense brush charlotte sells with it works the best I’d say, but for this tutorial I used a very dense Chanel brush! Anything with a very dense head works well, or a sponge :)

Gayle, I said the same exact thing on another review! I love my Bronze & Glow (regular and mini) and I also adore this packaging - just wish it was smaller. I too hope she comes out with a mini of this. Her large bronzer compacts are beautiful, as is all her packaging, but those are too large for me. I could never go through that much bronzer (especially in a cream before it dries out) and storage is always an issue 😅 Here’s hoping they’ll hear us 🤞🏼

Hi Joan! Sorry for the confusion! I picked up fair from her website before it sold out. To me it’s a nice shade but because of the cooler tone it’s a bit like a contour on me. I warm up my cheeks a bit with the airbrush matte bronzer in medium over top in this video. :) I’m going to try the medium shade soon to see how I like it, but I do think the fair shade would be nice for those who enjoy a cooler tone bronzer!

I find her shades in this particular bronzer, really odd. Neither the light or the medium are right for me, the light has the wrong undertone (definitely a contour shade) and the medium, whilst having the right undertone, doesn't have the depth. Oh yes, gram for gram, the CT cream bronzer is actually MORE expensive than the Chanel cream bronzer!!!! Yikes 😱 Love ya loads 🥰💗💗💗

I tried the medium in the Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer and it’s much darker and an orange undertone. Compared to the fair color. I haven’t gotten the one that I ordered on the fair yet. Gayer seeing the color’, I already regret ordering the cream.

I wish Charlotte Tilburry would come out with other shades. Tan is too light and orangy on my tan skin and Deep is too dark. I am sure Deep is not dark enough for African Americans either. I am shocked her brand still has not expanded their shades! I will stick to my Gucci and Bobbi brown bronzers.
