Looking beautiful for your date ! Charlotte should name a lipstick after you! And it was the right thing to do to speak up (just clarifying I am not someone with dark-deep skin tone here). If anything, you choosing to call it out instead of ignoring it like usual, shows that you have expectations for the brand and value it, so hopefully CT sees that instead of doing smth silly like taking you off pr 👀 great of you to do, knowing it’s one of your favourite brands !

I do find it hard sometimes with CT. I used to like browsing there, but as a black woman with deeper skin tone I find a lot of her colors are not flattering to me. The darkest toned skin that works for CT is a sort of caramel

I just adore you, Joanna. You stick to what you say and you’re absolutely right. Personally I am fair, but I just don’t understand, why not make two versions? Very silly. Thank you for your commitment, and for not letting it fade as often happens. Charlotte Tilbury & her team are careless, and it’s going to take people like you, the brand’s obvious preferred customer based on skin tone, to effectively call them out for their carelessness that continues to hurt and exclude men and women of color, and it was so preventable! Just like you suggested, make a 2nd palette! The brand definitely has the budget to do so.

CT's Glowgasm palette was the only one I thought was worth the money, and I'm a light skin tone. It's $75 and there should be more options. That's a lot of money for most people to spend on one product.

The fact the collection has the word “Nudes” in the name. I thought we were kinda getting to a spot in the makeup community where we tried boycotting that word? Obviously the word Nude is still used a lot, but a nude to a white person is NOT the same nude to a deeper skin toned person. The word Nude in the makeup community is literally the equivalent to a white persons skin tone. Words have meaning. So frustrating. The fact the contour shades were non-inclusive on top of that just adds more to the problem.

Lmao the CT palette swatches were soo offputting, like its clear to see that the palette was made only with light to medium skin in mind. I fall in the fair to light range, I can immediately see in the swatches that the highlighters would be way too dark for me and only one of the bronzers would work well for me. Just like I can see how chalky and *not* sculpting the bronzing shades are on deeper skin. Really appreciate you talking about this issue. Like if CT wanna make certain products catered to a smaller range of skin tones than fine, whatever, but why they gotta pretend it works for everyone? lol

Honestly, even if I'm white and really pale, I really don't like the brand for this reason exactly and never bought anything from them nor I plan to do so. Even if they change, it will have to be a change that lasts and is consistent throughout all their releases. Still, for me it's kind of sour and in a bad way so that's why I decide not to support them.
