Charvel is knocking it out of the park with these new Pro Mod Series models. This here and the H-S-S and H-S-H versions, are pretty much a budget friendly variant of the Guthrie Govan model. In other words: a Swiss-Army Knife guitar that gets pretty much everything covered.

Just received the tri fade and so far it's superb. Had it set up by sweet water so I can't comment on out of the box playability but wow, very nice playing instrument. Over a week's time of playing 8 hrs each day I've yet to encounter any tunning instabilities. I tend to bend alot in my playing and also utilize the trem often so I'm impressed with how it's holding up tunning wise. It's Very hard to put this guitar down after picking it up. Definitely on the bright side but I'm partial to those tones and find it very versatile! Very pleased with this guitar.

i have read many complaints about tuning stability... Whats your opinion ??? Please honest answer because i am interested in buying this guitar Gr8 vid as always btw
@dominickortega84895 жыл бұрын
kostas papadopoulos These new guitars without the non locking nut and 2pt trem bridges require some maintenance for them to be kept in tune. First off I’m sure you and most know to stretch the strings. Any string going flat will be due to strings not being fully stretched. If the strings go sharp then its the fact that the guitar is non locking at the nut. The nut of the guitar has to be cut correctly and since charvel does not fill down the slot in the nut you might have to do this. This can be done with sandpaper. If the slots aren’t filled down to smoothness, there will be friction between the string and the slot therefore causing the string to not return to pitch (will be sharp). You can also add graphite and nut sauce in the slot to keep them lubricated to prevent friction. Since the guitar comes with string trees (smh) you also have to apply nut sauce under the trees so that the string is gliding under without friction. Lastly you can also apply nut sauce on the saddles of the bridge where the strings lay. That should resolve any running instability.
@jimmybags14945 жыл бұрын
Most tuning issues found on non locking systems comes from the nut. The gotoh bridge is killer but the nut could have some issues out of the box. Basically if you're in tune, and you dive the bar, when you come back up (if there is binding in the nut) strings will come back sharp. A good luthier could smooth out the nut slot or make the slots wider if you need to run thicker strings! I have a feeling it's really hard for a massive company to get the nuts cut perfectly for each guitar but it's not hard to fix.

Is the satin burgundy Mist like slippery feeling and leaves finger prints? Pretty good review guys👍🏼 big fan of joss, think he’s a great player and has a great personality for this. Love these guitars and probably will be buying one soon. But I do have a couple bones to pick. If you want people to take what you say seriously, 1) your guitar need to be in tune! And 2) you need to know the gear your reviewing. If you don’t know it’s ok to look it up but better just to know. That’s generally why we tune in is to hear reputable players explain and demo the gear. You guys had no idea what the switch did and you BS’d your way through that segment.

Not much just enough. Against a lower priced AZ the Charvel I would say is a tad better. Love the input jack on the Charvel, but the neck joint an the AZ is a sexy beast.

I just bought 2 of them because I go all in. I didn't read the reviews (my mistake). I liked the idea of the roasted maple neck for the stability (I have problems with humidity where I am from time to time) and this was the answer. I got 2 of the HSH models (army drab and the orange). Shocked to see as I opened them that they don't have staggered tuners. I just don't understand how they could ship these knowing they are not guitars that can stay in tune with any sort of aggressive playing or movement of the bridge. Also at this stage of the game where are the stainless steel frets? I returned them and while I do have 2 DK FR models I love them and will keep them but my next purchase will be a Warmoth build instead. Come on Charvel.
