@@InterstellarML LLMs can only search the web if they are provided with a special wrapper (essentially the LLM returns something like {search: pink lady apples} and the wrapper looks for that tag and searches the web and provides the results back to the LLM behind the scenes). That is what the GPT-4 w/ Bing mode does (and separate Bing and Perplexity and other sites). They may have just wanted to start with chatting on the basic GPT-4 mode since the search integration is also in beta.

You can also have the bot act as a therapist by telling it that it is a therapist or act as a doctor or lawyer. I think this is Microsoft’s voice tech. It’s been getting better & better. We have Azure enterprise with GPT4 & I’ve been using it to read word docs & such for a while now. It’s wild how the voice sounds more natural & empathetic than many real people’s voices

As a late diagnosed ADHD I can answer that addictions/impulsivity/instant-gratification question, ADHD is a drive for addictions through a chronic lack of dopamine in the brain that also increases imlulsivity which facilitates getting into addictions, instant-gratification and drugs, problem is that ADHD is for the most part undiagnosed in society, only 2 every 10 adults are diagnosed and aware of their ADHD, a similar story for ASD (autism) especially in woman

I have ADHD and im 42m it's pretty funny. Some medical professionals look at it as a learning disability. And some see it as a gift, I can genuinely say it's a gift. We just learn differently, and I struggled in school and in college a lot. Some people with ADHD need to move to think, some need a creative outlet to think, and some feel chaos is the best learning environment. As I have grown older with ADHD I found it easier to retain information and faster. While most people stopped learning or educating themselves for me, I found an uncontrollable urge for all knowledge. I won't go into the things I've learned, but I can tell you I learn and retain knowledge faster than anyone I have ever known or have ever met. Also, these LLM's just gave people with ADHD a huge advantage in life now. Once you understand how you learn you can tailor it to your comprehension then speed it up later. You'll understand what I mean in a few years once you understand how your brain retains information. Experiment with things ... you'll learn more about yourself than you can ever imagine. Your ADHD is pretty amazing, don't let nobody try to shit on that !

I've been using GPT-4 to go through many ML and math concepts and it is great to go back and forth with clarifying questions and testing your own understanding. Then if you want to visualize something, the "advanced data analysis" mode can just graph it for you.

Such as a standing desk with blue or green lighting, aromas of peppermint or rosemary with some snacks like almonds or seeds. Plus, the perfect LLM workflow for that hour or day is amazing, all while your speechify app is reading to you in 2x speed and listening to classical music. So amazing 👏

I liked the "ummm..." part. The "um" reminded me of Google's Assistant they demoed. Google showed Assistant calling a hair salon and it replied in the affirmative to the real person by saying "uhh hunh". Google killed off Assistant because they said it cost too much to operate. They really need to make it think more naturally. Instead of having dead silent gaps, they could make it say umm for some other natural sounding sounds that people make when they think of an answer. Granted that can be hard to do if they don't know how long it will take to get an answer from the server.

I don't have access yet either (in the US), though I do have image inputs now. But it'll be in the mobile apps (not the website) once you get access. On iOS, they also added a shortcut to start a voice conversation, so you could even activate it by double or triple tapping the back of your phone (is in accessibility / touch settings) or the action button on the iPhone 15.

I'm encountering multiple issues with the ChatGPT Plus features. While the voice feature works fine on an older Android device with the same account, it's not available on my iPhone 13 Pro. Additionally, the new image input feature is not showing up on either my computer or phone. I've ensured both apps are updated to the latest version and have gone through all the standard troubleshooting steps-clearing cache, logging out and back in, and checking settings-but to no avail.
