Seen this on another stream. Said its an old hack that needs someone on your team to have a certain mod that alows the cheater to see all the enemy vehicles. But they must have someone on your team for them to see you.. Apparently they use multiple bot accounts to load in at same time.. and hopefully 1 loads in same game as you on enemy team. Means you have loaded a bot into enemy reducing their team abilities and then shows everyone on that team.

It is a cheat mod. Dakillzor did a video on this. There is a two player mod that shows blocks where you are and they simply shoot the blocks. It will show positions of all enemy players over all the map. Crazy this is in here...

Being a member of the 11% club, I have enough trouble playing this game in my German armor without having to deal with scumbags using cheat mods to farm my ass. Would be funny to see a mod that detects and highlights those that use cheat mods and then have the whole friendly team volley fire their ass to destroy them.

There was something like this in the game Day of Defeat 1.3. Cheaters, if detected, were automatically placed in a cage and moved to an open spot on the map. Then everyone could fck them up without them being able to defend themselves. Even after leaving the game, i.e. escape by disconnecting, they were when relogged in immediately put back into a cage and brought to an open spot on the map. The ban worked by recognizing the MAC address, which is unique to everyone and cannot be changed even by logging out or changing servers. The only way to escape this was to buy a new network card, because the MAC address is invariably implemented on it. Cheaters whose network card was permanently installed on the motherboard had very bad cards. I miss that time. where cheaters were not talked about and tested for a long time or discussed back and forth, but were made short work of. By the way, these programs were developed by the private server operators. The game as a whole was programmed by students on the Half-Life engine. And its was free and is still today.

I just rewatched the second game and kept an eye on the arties, and It's not just the leopard doing strange things there. At 7:15 (less than a minute into the game) the t92 platoon mate of the leopard killed the first opposing arty, and at 8:03 he hit the second arty and almost killed it. the surviving arty did quite some relocating throughout the whole remaining game and somehow dodged shots at 9:09 and 11:59. Either this platoon mate was using the same cheat, or his leopard buddy pinged him the locations.

Claus this is old news. They had this cheat mod 10 years ago. It is one of the main reason I got out of clans because the leaders of the clans were using these mods in clan battles. We tracked down where the mods came from and found they were a Russian company. The catch was you had to run a premium account before the mods worked!

Dazkillzor did a vid about this particular cheat a few ago, it involves an automated data share between two players running it on each team. Gives visibility to each of them of the others team with no need to be spotted. As he explained, a single player can do it by cueing up some arty bot accounts at low server pop times, good odds of getting in at the same time as one of your spy bots to the same game. So WG have been banning people that have the same opponents over several games, which has had the unfortuneate effect of auto banning streamers who get stalked by stream snipers.

You don't even need bots. People install all kind of stuff, so you just need players on the enemy team using your mod that send the info, but doesn't show it to them.

I've been experiencing this "hack" for at least the last 2 months even before the last update. It's been occuring to me in at least half a dozen games per week. Usually notice it the most when it happens playing against T-103's. Started testing it out using a Bourrasque and hiding behind a line of bushes. I was unspotted.. got blind fired from a long way away... however fired at me remained unspotted... thought to myself.. "ok he got lucky"... moved up the line of bushes away from the line of fire... he put a round right though the centre of the tank again... I moved again and backed away from the line of bushes... and again put a round right through the centre of the bush... and I just sat there thinking "no-frikkin-way... impossible"... three times in a row

As I understand from watching a few videos, the way this type of cheat is working is: at least one person on your team is using the mod. The mod broadcasts to anyone else on the enemy team using the same mod, and it transmits the locations of friendly team members. Someone on these peoples teams had the same mod.

I agree, it's a game and i am not the best player, also not the worst. But to get my 48,5% winrate up to 50% will mean i have to win with 51,5% for the next 40 k+ battles. Never gonna happen, i like/hate to play tanks stock (call it SM). But if you need cheats to get a better winrate or MOE, then you are a loser in my opinion. In the end cheaters will lose.

This isn't surprising. People are always complaining about the cheating in this game on Steam, but then they are attacked by WGs bot army and moderators and then banned. I've had the same exact thing happen to me that happened on this video quite a bit lately.

Between the farming cheats, the mod cheats, the killing off of tier VI skirmishes, the Tour of Duty mission changes, and finally the significant increase in the frequency of module damage since the Crew patch I am done. The game is broken. I'm not sure what players WG is targeting with their end phase changes, but our clan has had more players quit the game over the last several months than we'd usually see in a couple of years and some of our clan members who have played the game since it was launched have completely closed their pocketbooks.

There has been a cheat mod out there for a long time that shows you the exact positions of the opponent, it was presented for the first time in 2017 if I remember correctly. But it was still in the _test phase._ At that time you needed someone else who has the same mod in the enemy team to make it work. Today it works without it. As I said, it has been around for years, but now it is so widespread that it is noticeable. Daki has already made a video about it.

It's the exact same mod, it still needs someone on the enemy team to have it installed. The cheaters queue up with 10-20 bot acc's playing arty (the accounts all run off VM's). How so many people and CC's haven't heard about it until now surprises me. WG have definitely known about it this entire time, they just didn't care. Now a couple of CC's made vids highlighting the cheat they decide to do something about it? WG are a joke...

@@M0DERN_B0REFARE Yes and no, in the past it was not possible as today that you could start WoT several times on one computer and it was also not possible to send a bot with this cheat/mod. Today you can do all this on one computer and completely on your own. Both start your own account and play several bots in several open WoT at the same time. You don't need another player to try to get into the same battle with you, but the bots can automatically try to do it themselves. It would be impossible for a human to click on the battle button with e.g. 20 games open at the same time. this is only possible with a program. And yet it still happens that games with 8 or even more AFK bots appear in a game. Sometimes even 20, just distributed on both sides. These are the ones who just didn't get into the same match synchronously with their "boss". And because their "boss" didn't end up in the same match, they have no task and just stand around stupidly. You send out as many bots as possible at the same time so that the chance of actually getting into the same match with one of them is higher. But you can do it all on your own, no other human are needed anymore.

NO, WG won't. Once I sent a ticket,( with a replay) in for some TD that shot me the same way from 3/4 the map away. WGs responce was in short. Be quiet, don't send in tickets. We are aware and our Moderaters control this. What a Farce! If you offend, Me it was getting into an arguement with a ," pay boy" and he reported me,"evidentally he got others to do this too." and I got a 3 day chat ban. a week later, "after the first ban was over.". I got banned again from WG for offensive language,. Their mods were still watching me, keeping tabs on offenders? My opinion they will only act on a ticket when, the person sending in the ticket is a "Gold Prick" that, they want to keep sucking on.

THIS was my next mistake with insulting and I got a chat ban for about 3 weeks. I sent them a ticket with the name of the SIMP mod. They didn't reply with anything specific. I proposed in 2016 that such a cheat mod exists, a mod that logs in hundreds of accounts and classifies battles according to some parameters and sends the minimap of enemy team to the cheater enemy player. This existed almost 10 years ago.

I have heard of this cheat. It mimics the cold war mode for WoT console, were you are always visible as long as there is line of sight (even if you're not "spotted"), except that the cheat also makes vegetation disappear. This is absolutely a game effecting cheat.

This cheat is real and it's been going on for years. The cheater(s) sees all unspotted tanks right from the start of the game as white (or red) blocks with player names and tank types above. Reported it several times to Wargaming without anything happening to the cheaters.

The bans they announced are the tip of the iceberg. There are still many 10s of games that are still affected by game rigging. I have known players who have been using cheat mods for over 5 yrs and are still using them.

Just watching this on Sunday. This happened to me. I thought it was a bug or that maybe I missed the 6th sense going off. But I moved and got behind cover. 10 seconds went by and I moved back to spot and immediately got shot again, no 6th sense. I abandoned the position and reemerged elsewhere, immediately got hit, no 6th sense. I didn't think much about it until I saw this video.

Wargaming implemented 'Fair Play' rules which is nice. The big issue here is this does NOT stop cheating. They somehow 'detect' cheats which means players can still cheat until they get caught after a few months of cheating. It would help if they implemented anti-cheat measures BEFORE you press the Battle button.

I'm having a fantastic day indeed: went fishing with my best bud and caught a 93 cm fat and very strong pike and the weather was great as well. Always remember that WG is a for profit company. If the cheaters have premium accounts, they will not be banned, at least not for long. Free to play = cannon fodder. This makes sense, from a money making perspective. This isn’t some chess tournament. A fair and just sporting event. It’s a for profit company running the show. It’s best to otherwise pony up the dosh, and then see if your complaint gets actioned, or just suck it up. Report them, and move on. Free to play = cannon fodder. Understand this and the stress goes away. Enjoy the good games, and don’t stress the bad ones. It’s a roll of the dice if you get a good game, so switch it off if luck isn’t happening.

I've had a couple of people that I tracked them kept moving (in tanks that weren't like the M tanks). It like they had automatic repair. Also, when you were talking about the Leopard shooting the FV4005, if the Leo was on the perch then he was shooting outside of render range (which you didn't mention) ans so anyone that might have been behind the FV would also be outside of render range.

About 9 minutes down in the second game with the FV it can be assumed, based on the later leopard position, that he was always on that hill. It is not only the white circle, he is then outside the yellow circle, where the server does not even display any tanks. So this is NOT a spotting thing. That leopard uses all the info the server has, and I would not be surprised that the server has a trojan inside which provides all the tank positions in the game to that Leopard (longitude and altitude on the map, maybe even the orientation of that tank). That severeness may also be the reason why WG is so quiet. They can't stop hackers accessing that data ... In times of AI it is not hard to let the AI scan through the game logs, like list all who received a hit without being spotted. List who shot and their position. Check view and display range. Flag it if something is out of normal spec. Supervise the shooter over multiple battles and check for more anomalies or pattern. Check the data flow to his computer. Hand it over to the police, breach of data protection.

popped up on my youtube feed last week. there is a mod where at least two cheaters are on opposite teams. the cheat, who usually farms hidden damage, is using the other cheaters view range/team location capabilities to show where all of the team members are and it pixelates a "block" that the "farming" cheater shoots.

WG needs to ensure that similar IP addresses can't load into the same game unless they are a platoon on the same side. They also need to force a telephone number for each account.

This 'spotting' and getting farmed has been experienced by myself too recently. I was wondering if there was a game bug, a change in the spotting or just that I was getting too old to play WoT and not realising I had the spotted alert! I guess this now explains what is happening.

As well all know, Claus covers a number of events and issues in WOT, but his big "rival" the Mighty Jingles featured an Onslaught battle which looked very good and referred to "Project CW" which WG are working on. Can Claus tell us more about this? I'm sure viewers here would be interested in this. Mr Jingles , who brought Claus to my attention many years ago I might add, doesn't feature WOT very often.

Just taking the hit/penetration ration, I don't think the tanks are visible. It's "just" the position that's indicated. Are there any environmental processes accessible to the client side? Maybe track prints or stuff like that?

This cheat do more than just reveal enemy. If you try to blind fire tanks on ridge line, you shoot over because you're aiming at the sky, but not this one.

Something else about that Leo is that they did not have time to aim long enough for an accuracy shot. I ran into this hack in a game. Match started, about 20 seconds later I got hit, we had tanks forward of my position and they hadn’t detected anyone in front of them and my sixth sense never went off. I moved and was immediately struck again.

Those freaking Excelsior BOTs are getting out of hand as well. Had them in 6 games last night, even 2 per team. I can now identify them before the game even starts - always have 'elite' ratings like , always stock tank with no camo, End of the game service record shows low game count/shit rating/only 4-5 tanks in garage - and, of course, fake name. Two things: there is not one, but two cheaters - one in your team and another in opposite. I don't know the name of the modpack, but somewhere exist cheat modpack, that has ability to send data from your client about your team to the server, but also if you are using this modpack, then you can pull a realtime data into your game. Receive/transmit data about the team. Some other guy on youtube already explained this method

In the second game the Leopard was blind shooting the FV even when he was clearly outside render range, never mind spotting range. It's pretty clear that the arty platoon mate couldn't see the FV, because any self respecting arty would certainly target a big lumbering FV. Either it's a bug that the FV was visible to the Leopard or someone has found a way to cheat.

The Object 268 followed him around the map and is the offender. He also allowed the enemy team to shoot both arty, killing one and forcing the other into the hills to hide. The only reason they didn't target him first was because at 14:07 they got the arty in an impossible way beyond render range shot. Then went after the other arty.

Quicky did one on this hack. It lets you see everything the allies see if you place a bot on the enemy team. Hence you can see everything on the screen, enemies and all.

I watched more videos in the youtube about this new cheatmod. I am not playing anymore. You need to get connected in the same battle with one tank each team. It is very important because your client will collect the players position data from your other tank in the enemy team which is public to teammates. Then somehow it transmits within the same computer to the other client showing him green boxes ingame, not on minimap.

99% of my battles in 4005 are: getting spotted while hiding around the base doing 0 damage without seeing who shot me.

This might explain a game I had early this week where I got shot 3 times and killed by the same tank. I thought a sixth sense bug at the time.

Hey Claus, I’m not sure your point about the white line view range is correct. That line is a tank’s absolute view range and every tank has a different one, particularly a Leopard versus an FV4005. A Leopard can see and shoot the FV without being detected until it enters within the FV’s white line.

Daki did a video on it. Then yesterday Wargaming banned a bunch of folks, including what seems to be innocent people (even a few CC's) because WG didn't factor enough "red flags" into their algorithm. Hate to see it.

@10:51 the UDES calls for fire on the leopard. Note the leopard is not lit on the map from this player's view. That is also interesting.

I agree that it's extremely unlikely that the platoon partner or buddy, can give that specific intructions to his friend and the friend being able to hit these shots sp precies. But they could be screen sharing or maybe even in the same room, so they can see each other's screens. Not protecting these cheaters, just a wanted to mention that it could be a option. Just wanted to add this as a thought when you spoke about it at 15:10

Dakillsor posted some footage of this mod. The “cheater” uses multiple accounts with the mod installed and drops into battles with a feeder account. When they land on opposite teams, the mod relays ALL info ( tank, direction, turret direction and drops a box in place of the tank skin ) via the mod to the mod installed on the cheaters client. So from what I can see, it only works if they have a feeder client they are running on the opposite team or they have a friend with the same mod sync dropping in

They don't need platoons to rig , they just run a pile of accounts using VM. You can usually spot these riggers by them loading in slow from having so many instances of OS+game running. The cheats they are using have been in the game almost since the beginning , but only just got more popular again.

Great video Claus I’ve played since beta but as of late I’ve been a victim of this many times and I’m getting quite sick of it all. The easy way is to just ban mods period. I never had them back in the day it’s time to go back

One more thing. This mod works like this: There are users of this mod on both sides. And their mods are communicating without server in the way. And like i said i think this isnt new just it leaked to more players. And i think this is going one way - no mods in the game.

I have hit players by luck, errant shell, bounced off someone and deflected into someone’s ammo rack, and blind shooting with ammo racks. However, I’ve never felt the need or desire to blatantly cheat. Always report those dirtbags.

Hi. From what I've heard it works like this: they have some mod installed that sends data, that a tank has to others with this mod. So, you have to have someone on the enemy team to see everything that player sees. I think it sends this data to all with this mod, but it might be just to specific people. So, they form 2 teams, a tank and an arty in each. Then they start the game at the same time at a late hour. There is a very good chance they will end up in the same match on opposite teams. I'm not sure if it's 4 or 2 players (with 2 game instances each). They also use a mod that removes foliage (I think it still blocks view, but they don't see it). So, this is game rigging version 2.0. I don't play WoT anymore (I switched to Warthunder about 10 years ago), but I do watch your videos from time to time. I also look out for possible cheats to know what to lookout for. I hope they learn how to detect this.

I saw this mod work in it’s infant stages about 11 years ago. A new player that I personally knew just got the Obj. 904 russian med (not 100% sure if exactely this one) in Clanwars. The mod worked when enemy tanks knocked down trees, it somehow estimated their position. Not entirely accurate but still a cheat. He said that it worked when a new version patch just came out, but it was screwed by the micropatches that WG don’t say anything. Seems it has evolved somehow to get detected without knocking down anything. My 2 cents.

It works like this: - Cheater launches game with several arty bots. - Arty bot placed on enemy team. - Arty bot sends cheater, on opposite team, all team live positions. - Cheater's client renders blocks for enemy tanks even outside render range. - Cheater farms damage. Daki covered it. WG has banned some, but they seem to be basing it on multiple games with the same players which is impacting streamers. I don't know why they don't use IP or mac addresses [still not perfect though].

I have experienced it. never spotted, behind rocks and a bush. As soon as 1/4 of my tank had cleared the rocks, still well behind the bush I get hit. OK, drive directly away staying behind the rocks, go behind a bush and a building on higher elevation and drive behind a building . Try to peek, again still behind a bush as well as a building. Bang, as soon as a little of my tank clears the building, hit instantly.
