I recently got this and I definitely don’t have the most pigmented lips and it really didn’t do much. You could probably settle for a cheaper tinted balm for a similar look.

The Burt's bees ones are actually fantastic. There's a similar pink shade that actually shows up really well on my (not pigmented) lips. Very hydrating and buildable like a medium sheer lipstick. Plus it's like $4 on Amazon 😅.

I think it does work best on pigmented lips. My lips have a pink hue to them and when I wear black honey it makes my lips look like a rose brown color. While on my friend it looks purple.

It's so funny how things circle back around. When I was about 8 or 9, Clinique had this pallette that had four shades of their 'Almost Lipstick' in little pots. It had black honey and three other beautiful shades that you could mix and match. I loved that thing so much! I honestly wish they still had it. But I really wanna try that almost pink shade. That's very much my style.

Gosh they had these before! I had a black honey version from when I was little in 2005. My mom used to work the Clinique area at her store. I might still have the original container at home because I loved it and then Clinique stopped selling it.

I recently got this and honestly it just looks like i got lip balm on. I’m white as a ghost and it’s very sheer so unless your lips have absolutely no colour to them then it’s not gonna really show up on your lips. Black honey is the GOAT so i’ll stick to that one

I have had a problem with strongly pigmented lipsticks because when I apply them on my lips, colour turns out different from what was expected.
