Did Miami win tho? What I saw was a little different. VT was winning with 0 seconds on the clock and the refs called ACC central and after a brief convo they went and changed the score.... Not a good look.

and yeah I get it, just that we know the rules. If their is not conclusive evidence, then the call has to stand. And the evidence appeared to show that potentially a player out of bounds knocked the ball away, sometime after the TD was scored... really hard to say if it was or wasn't a TD. I know that if that were OSU, ND, Cheatagin, UF, Miami, Bama... that call would have stood.

Your (obvious) bias is spilling all down your front. This is a PLAYOFF ranking show. NOT including Big XII is professionally irresponsible. And when you DID mention Big XII, you promoted a 1 loss Kansas State over the 3 still undefeated teams. Since it IS "a snapshot in time" your commentary should reflect the same protocols which would constrain the selection committee (which also includes all of their biases). If you were to ask me, no one conference should have more than two teams in a playoff, until and unless that playoff expanded to 16 teams - and even then the limit per conference would be 3 teams.

What happened to the days when we weren’t so knee-jerk about everything? Used to be that elite teams didn’t give up 35 or 40 pts in a game. Now it doesn’t matter if you give up 50, as long as you score 52, you’re an elite team. We’re all the old Big 12 conference now, I guess, and D doesn’t matter. Also old school is that if a team is ranked #1, and they won, they didn’t get jumped by a team 3 spots below them. But today, we make an excuse for GA, even though they give up 40+, so that they don’t drop in the rankings. “Oh, that’s because Bama was soooo impressive and we can’t punish GA for losing to such greatness!” Ridiculous… seems we can come up with some formula to justify wherever we want to put these teams, despite the results. At this point, with how mediocre GA looked against KY & now Bama, I’m pretty sure they’d have a tough time against the rest of the top 10 right now… can no one else see that?😮

i dont personally think #1 teams should ever be dethroned unless they've been given good reason to. Texas had a slow start against State, but destroyed them in the second half. Just bc it was Bama and Georgia and Georgia almost made a comeback, that doesnt mean Georgia is as good as Bama, they exposed a youthful secondary in the second half while at the same time Beck was making rookie mistakes as "the best QB in the country" and a veteran at that. Personally UGAs ranking is deflated by the AP Poll and thats fine, but dont put Bama at #1 if they scraped out a win in a game in which they were up 28-0 at one point. That comeback doesnt happen against a Texas or Tennessee defense this year in the same scenario. Bamas defense is suspect with all the young talent and it showed with a major lead in a top 5 matchup. Texas 110% should still be #1 in the rankings right now, which since we go by the AP poll, thats the only real ranking i can refer too. We(Texas) are going to throttle Georgia in 3 weeks. To tell the complete truth, im more worried about Red River against OU in 2 weeks than i am UGA.

I just think a lot of people will have their minds blown when at the end of the year, a 28th ranked James Madison is setting in one of the top 5 spots in the playoffs, with a bye week, over the 2nd place team in the SEC championship game. Dont we kind of need to rethink the way we do our polls, and pay more attention to conference standings as we go? Aren't our Non- Con games, and how we schedule them in the future almost as important as some of our conference games now? What happens when a team is 9-3 but youve beat 2 non-con champions?

They have 2 loses but I think they could/should be ranked. They're much much better than they might appear at times. KY truly has a legit Defense. I think UGA at 4 is too high. They should be around 9-10 behind the other undefeated teams until they can prove again they can compete. That game last night had a score that made it look competitive when it really wasn't. Bama had their number all night and only let them get back in it when they got conservative in the 2nd half. They keep their foot on the gas and the score ends up being more like 60 - 7.
