Hey Nancy, The trick with sticky pads and not having paper curl is to flip it over sticky side down n peel off the sticky sheet from the card stock and prevents the curling. I have a silhouette machine n that’s how I found works best.

Thank you for the referral to H & H Sign Supply! It is a MUCH better deal to buy larger quantities of foil, as well as it is created for textiles, so with the adhesive sheets it can be used on clothing also. Additionally, I am wondering if you can create your own colored toner sheets with a color laser printer? It seems like you should be able to, if you can do your own black ink toner sheets.

You can try the DIY toner sheets. But for the cost and quality I recommend Crafty Critta

My glimmer died as well. I think the connectors on the plastic wore off. It no longer heats up. ☹️ this is my 2nd one! But this one is under warranty still. Wish me luck!

Curve the misti mat to get your cardstock off. That way the cardstock doesn’t bend.

I'm confused......I have thought that the Glimmer type of foils would NOT work in the Minc machine....but you just said several times at the 55:45 min time that you were using "hot foil" not toner foil. Am I correct in what I heard.....can I use hot oils in my Minc ???

You can use waste foil on toner sheets. It doesn't matter if it is toner or hot foil. The foil will stick to toner.

Nancy, if hot foil waste sticks to plain toner sheets with the minc does that mean it would stick to foil art from crafty critter?

No, you will over foil the whole sheet if you use foil art. But the foil art waste sheets would stick to the colored toner.

Could you use a heat press to apply foil on paper instead of a laminator or minc? (I'm sure you would have to use a pretty low temperature for a very short time.) What temperature does the minc run at?

You could try, you need lots of pressure and heat timed correctly.
