I love these new colours 🧵I was just commenting that I need a gold colour thread for clear tilas 🤗 I don't use any other thread since it came out. I have unopened spools of Wildfire 😮 The price and quality is great 👍 But what I like best is how fine it is. Multiple passes through a 15/0 is no longer a nightmare ❤ Thank you to all the team at Potomac Beads for everything you do to make my beading life fun. I love you Ally 😘

Perhaps you could think about adding a pale rose red color. That would be nice for both red and brown beads.

That is a great idea!

I’ve noticed differences in durability and stiffness varies with the color of the dragon thread. I agree that’s is great for some projects but prefer fire line for things like bracelets. I love it for intricate bezels. I know it is strong enough but also thin enough that I can go through even 15/0s several times. The green is my favorite, but the grey frayed often.

BeadTec continues to work on DragonThread and the consistency across colors. This should be a thing of the past

I absolutely love the gray dragon thread, and it is my new go to for all of my projects using silver beads! If you tried it when it first came out and had splitting issues, give it another try. I think they've worked out some bugs, and the large spool I purchased a few months ago has given me no problems except occasionally when I use a very long piece it gets worn out, as even fireline does. Please make it in PINK! ;)

Do you have any tips for preventing knotting and splitting? I've tried Dragon Thread, but I have difficulty using it for these reasons. Thanks!

We always recommend smaller thread pieces and adding on if more is needed.

Are you going to start stocking the Wildfire threads again? Dragon thread is okay for fringe, but when you need a stiffer thread for your project, it comes leaving a lot to be desired. Dragon thread does not hold up well in a stiffer project. I love shopping with you guys, but I'm sorry to have to tell you this, I literally HATE dragon thread except when I'm making fringe and even then, it's not that great, it holds the shape of the spool, so the fringe is curly or hangs in waves and when I try to stretch it a little to get the curl out of the thread, it breaks like crazy, the size 6. Is the size 8 better, is it bigger, because that may be what I need rather than the other sizes?

I absolutely agree, it's good for certain projects but not for everything.

I use dragon thread a lot. Excited for new colors. I’ve not had the braking, curling etc. I have had other threads fray,split and brake.

We love DragonThread and it is our go to and the more we use it the more we love it. However, if you type Wildfire into the search bar the threads we have available will show.

I was teaching my students to do basic beadweaving the other day and we found my gray dragon thread was fraying. Not used to that. Any tips?

For the older gray thread we recommend beeswax, but feel free to contact our customer care for assistance at hello@potomacbeads.com

May i ask what the difference is in the sizes, 5, 6, 8?
@Potomacbeadco Жыл бұрын
The diameter of the thread, 5 is the thinnest and then it goes up in size with each number
