What market are you in ? 500k in Ottawa won't get you anything close to this unfortunately! Ill agree that lots could be bigger these days haha

What I like about the house in Ottawa is the basement. Can a U.S. citizen buy a house in Canada? I noticed a lot of Canadian bought some property in Florida.

It was do-able a few months back but the government passed a new policy banning foreign investors for 2 years (and possibly more). The only exemptions being buyer using the property has a primary residence and international students!
