@@FLKeysMadeleine I've used a realtor many times. Other wise I wouldn't have make the comment. I build houses. You know, the guy that signs for the bank loans, takes all the risk, spends countless hours organizing and overseeing the many months it takes to build a house. Then a pretty face swoops in with no skin in the game and gobbles up thousands in commission for showing a house. I like how you always say you'd like the opportunity to "help someone". 🤣🤣 Yeah, you deserve respect...

There is rebar I guarantee it its a 2023 build Florida code is pretty strict for hurricane code. Don’t be negative cause you can’t afford it!!! Nice house!!!

What's the average temperature for that area? Because you are somewhat isolated, is power fluctuations or "brown outs" an issue on the Keys? Are there problems with the drinking water or do most residents go with filter systems or just bottled water? What are the schools like from elementary to HS?

The temperature varies depending on the season. The summer/off season is from June to October, with an average daily high temperature ~86. The winter/peak season is from December to April-ish, and is around mid to low 70s. Not a ton of power outages unless we have a big storm, but we have generators in case of that. But no issues with drinking water here. The Florida Keys actually has some of the best drinking water! Sugarloaf Elementary is right down the road and is a great school from what I hear. The HS is in Key West and has mixed reviews.

If its hurricane proof then you wont need insurance… Brilliant ❤… Is the Lot directly behind it for sale ? I notice its a empty lot ideal for a Swimming pool location.

Well, just because it's built to current hurricane code that doesn't necessarily mean you won't need insurance. If you plan to finance the home, the mortgage company will require wind, flood, and homeowners insurance (no matter the build). Luckily, this home's insurances will be extremely low. If you pay for the home cash, then you can self-insure (you are not required to carry insurances). However, I always recommend carrying at least homeowners insurance (~$1k/year) in the event of fire, theft, liability, etc. Should you have more questions or want to chat, I'd love to help! 3054967691. I see too many missed opportunities in the design of this home. Blunders, like the direction of the door that opens onto the master bedroom balcony was completely overlooked; very small windows; a long, very narrow laundry room behind the kitchen - and on the opposite side of the house in relation to the bedrooms: no tub; no fireplace; the lack of parking space beneath the house (due to the placement of the stilts); limited storage in the main living area, no elevator, etc. The low ceilings also give the house a very closed-in feeling. The stone (?) flooring throughout make it feel very cold and sterile - like walking around the lobby of an office building. For $2M, this house was rather disappointing.
