Your best advice 'take a breath/break - re-group - and start again'. My hubby and I are decluttering / purging our home and my offsite storage unit filled with art supplies and furniture from my former remote art studio. We plan to move to a new house, where my hubby can ALSO have a studio for his art/crafts supplies! I can't believe how EXHAUSTING this process is... mentally, emotionally, physically. I have to set a time to work for 15 minutes - and then take a 40 minute break! Found your video right on time! tfs!!!!

I would love a top tips video. Anything is always helpful to me. Again, I love to see this kind of video in a "real" person's home without all the white matching furniture from a box. It's so refreshing and the results are fabulous. I love how gentle you are with your clients.

I'm still peeling my own onion, after nearly nine months, so I understand your client's willingness to let go of stuff, second time around. It feels so daunting at first, but once the over-all volume has been reduced it gets easier to ask yourself if you actually really need it. My own craft space has gone from one stuffed room to one big cupboard and a desk, with drawers underneath.

Wow, the "to go" pile was such a triumph!! I like to craft, but I keep everything in a large wardrobe, that has a slide out desk. If it doesn't fit in there, it has to go (this keeps me from over accumulating things!) I hope you and your daughter are ok, and are getting settled. You are such a strong, positive woman! 🥰❤

Great, great job! I am a decorative painter and I mostly paint on wood items...so I understand all of her "stuff". I have learned to really pare down (still working on it!). As I have less, it allows me to access things more quickly, tidy faster after completing projects and most importantly, I can be more creative when I have less around me! Decluttering these kinds of spaces is an on-going process.

I love your videos! I really hope your dream of “making it” on YT becomes reality! I’ll be sure to leave comments for that ✨engagement✨lol But as an idea - maybe do a series here on how to declutter? Like a deep dive into what you actually do in those videos like what’s the process of deciding on what stays and what isn’t? How do you rearrange everything? How to store things efficiently? etc etc There are plenty of those videos but you bring a new fresh perspective in it which I haven’t seen before and I would love to know how do you take on a declutter :) (my mom will be moving in a couple of month and I’d love to help her out but even tho I’m good with my declutters I kinda don’t know where to start with her place. ) And as a bonus I think YT rewards series by showing them in the feed more and people like that sort of content. But idk that’s just a thought. Either way I love your videos and will continue to watch :)

Great job! You are so kind and patient with what I assume can sometimes be very challenging clients. A few thoughts about your goals. Maybe you could try to add a second shorter video each week on something like tips for a given life stage, e.g. moving to college and what to leave at home, moving in with someone and resolving duplicates, kids in the house, empty nesters/downsizing, etc. Just some thoughts because everything I hear about growing a YT channel involves being consistent so your viewers know what to expect and maybe two shorter videos per week is better than one longer one? Also if you could collaborate with someone more established once in awhile for special episodes/projects I think that might help to boost your subscribers more quickly if you can win some of their followers who enjoy similar content. Hope this sparks some ideas. We’re rooting for you!

Robin, I hope you and your daughter are ok with your sudden move. I really enjoy your channel and feel like you ”deserve” more viewers! 😎maybe you could try to add more common search words to the text for each video? Like hoarders, messy to minimal, declutter, minimizing etc. I’ve seen that youtubers with a lot of followers do that… just a thought, you decide what you do, of course!

The worst things to store are the oddly shaped little shelves, trays, chests and up-cycle items! They don’t stack, fit into a bin or hang on the wall most of the time. I love them myself, but always struggle with storing them. 😖

I'd love a "tips" video. Also, how you approach a room like this: do you put things in categories, and then figure out where to put them? What does she do with these crafts? Decorating her home (which is already stuffed), or gifts, or what? She has more than she can ever use, or do.
@robindawncreations2 жыл бұрын
Most of her crafts she does as gifts, some decor and she used to do craft shows. She still has plenty to work on and she is continuing to dwindle her stuff. At this point I like to look at similar items so you can see how much of something you have. It makes it easier to decide what stays over other similar things

Her saying only the blocks that fit in the can will stay is a big step. We downsized to a smaller house in retirement and I organized containers in my closets and only kept what fit in them. I no longer store anything, bins are the Devil in my opinion.
