I've had the opportunity to spend some time with this one, and I love it! I appreciate its uniqueness. I think a lot of people who know Creed may be indifferent at first because it's unlike a lot of their other fragrances. This is an excellent fall and winter fragrance which is a nice addition to the collection because Creed does not have a lot of fragrances in their lineup that thrive in colder weather. Centaurus is sophisticated, classy, and mature. Can be worn dressed up or down IMO. Scent profile evolves well throughout the day. Has somewhat of an old money vibe to it as well. The price is obviously high, and not for everyone. And that's perfectly fine. But I think over time this one will be one of the more beloved fragrances in the Creed lineup.

I haven't bought anything Creed since the initial release of Viking. Both quality and price have just gotten ridiculous. I'm willing to bet that Creed's mark up is somewhere around 3-500%. Also, they don't have a lot of marketing costs or overhead costs either so that's even more savings and profits in their pockets.

I have a sample of this but haven't tried it yet. On paper it reminds me a little bit of Obsession for men. edit: I just sprayed the sample and it surprised me. It actually isn't similar to Obsession in smell. The dry down almost smells like cream soda to me. It's very creamy / vanilla.

Its not just quality at this point, its originality as well. Centaurus is neither unique or original as say Green Irish Tweed or Aventus. Its going to be forgotten in a few years just like Queen of Silk and Delphinus
