Very fun project! I like paintings 2 and 3. They're more creative than 1 and not as messy as 4. I prefer script 2 and 3 because I can see both of them better. Great demo. Thank you!

Thank you so much. I have never used watercolors before so this was very informative. I think I like the second card the best but they are all beautiful.

I loved this! I’ve had a problem with just the basic watercolors. Your #3&4 is more to my style, I think I’ll try them now - thanks so much! Have you ever tried to use watercolor pencils with the Cricut- I think I might try it this way!

Thanks for the vid. Interesting look. What are your feelings on the Cricut watercolor pens & brush? They seem a bit expensive and you only get one brush size to work with and a limited set of colors. Have you tried using other water-fillable brushes to see if you can get more interesting results (seems like there's lots of available non-Cricut options that provide several different brush shapes & sizes)? If you have tried any of these, any comments? What about doing more paint mixing on the print to allow for more highlighting of colors? Seems like once you have the basic outline of your intended subject printed with Cricut you should be able to use your watercolor paint to really explore more painting techniques. Have you tried any other techniques? If so, what have been your results? So it appears there are some guidelines for choosing (or creating) workable patterns for use with Cricut watercolor projects. Appears you don't want your pattern to have lots of lines that intersect since that will lead to color mixing when the water brush is used and odd colors. Any comments on about how much physical space should be kept between lines to allow the best from the water brushes? And would using more detailed water brushes help this and allow more closely packed design lines? Would it be possible to cover with a Modge Pod or Urethane spray to give a glossy look and help to keep the paint from running? Has anyone tried this? Results? Appreciate any comments you can share based on your experiences. Thanks.

The only thing I have tried with Cricut product is what you see here. Thanks for your comment!

I like 1 2 and 3 and even more with the wording applied. Have you tried your own watercolors to give more depth to the Cricut lines with different shades of those colors? Do you think this would be a fun project to let children “color in” the cards or do you need to be too careful with it?

@@NeliDesign I had actually tried that before commenting, thinking maybe it was because of the KZbin redirect script, but no luck then. It *is* working for me now, from a third different computer. So maybe I was just hitting some heavy traffic?
