Let us know your thoughts on the Pennsylvania fieldstone.

Hi Brian. Sorry you are unwell. I can tell you have a cold, I hope you feel better soon. The Pennsylvania Rock is very nice. I think what I like about this stream is that it is nice and wide and being a curb appeal it is more appropriate, because a Pond should be in the Backyard where you can protect your precious fish, where is at the front yard someone could put something in the water out of spite. When I had initially set up an Aquarium in the Restaurant of the hotel I worked in, fish were always dying, then I put locks on the overhead access and since then, fish were no longer dying. Therefor, my opinion is that a stream or a fountain scape is better suited for the front yard curb appeal. Anyhow, out of appreciation to you for taking the time to produce this content to share with us viewers, the video has now been given the 841st like 🤙🏼to say thankyou very much. Have a great Week and take care, Sir. P.S. I apologize for being 13 days late on watching this video, I was in Portugal, and when I came back, I ended up having Covid. 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️

Absolutely beautiful and what an impactful transformation! Curb appeal on another level. I like watching these smaller projects and your attention to detail makes this stunning. I appreciate the narration of the process as it’s taking shape. Great work as usual!

The Pennsylvania fieldstone lends itself to making this look like the trickling stream originated in that small space. The magic of the hidden water flow by placing of the fieldstone over the source, cascading to the right and flowing over the stone in front is beautiful. The stump placement hides the pump access and a subtle natural focal point. Overall, the bigger stones make this look natural, giving it a forever been here appearance, like before the home was built. Great job to the team!!❤

I just LOVE these huge field stones! I think this is one of my favorite streams that you have done. If I could afford those rocks, that is what I would want. Your narration of the project was also helpful for this DIYer.

I love having a little pond and stream in my front yard. The neighborhood kids always come and check out the fish and turtles in it. It gives us the opportunity to invite people into the backyard to check out our big pond. We have made several friends in the neighborhood as a result of our front pond.

I like the narration of the project after completed like Brian does here, much better than the " in the field " narrations, Chris used to do. I think after the fact, you can see what parts of the build are most interesting and most helpful to people looking for advice, tips, and instruction. I also like the Pennsylvania fieldstone. I need a little more " crash " in my waterfalls. So,... that just means a bigger project. Cuz, I also need the spot for birds to have fun too.

Love the Pennsylvania Fieldstone. Have you ever had a piece of driftwood or stump start growing once it's in the water feature? I was visiting a client yesterday and they have a large pond we built a few years ago. The stumps our guys added have sprouted and are growing. It's the craziest thing! Is there a trick to choosing the right log so this doesn't happen? We're afraid the new tree will put down roots that will damage the liner or push it out of the way. Any thoughts?

Looks great! Extra cost was worth it to have that particular stone for sure. Question though, I want to create something similar, but on a larger scale. My land gets visitors during winter/spring time, that love to dig and leave holes in my lawn… Would they cause problems with the liner? Is there anything I can use to prevent them from chewing through the fabric and liner?

LOVE!. Does this kind of stream need the algae care that a fish pond does? (Laura and Aaron).
@TEAMAquascape
@TEAMAquascape 4 ай бұрын
Not as much, but it can still develop algae. It just depends on a few different factors, one of which including how much direct sunlight it gets.

That stone you're picking up at 6 minutes in, how much would that run (roughly)? I've got at least a dozen of those and a few bigger in the woods at the back of the property. That's what is visible anyway. When they built the neighborhood, they put all the extra stuff there. Wouldn't mind trading the stones with a local AS contractor for a little excavator work, if possible. EDIT: Oops, not sure what kind of stone. I think some sort of slate. You can see it exposed along Blue River Road between Red Bridge Road and Blue Ridge Road in Kansas City, MO.
