I'm a new Tech+General into the hobby, I joined Long Island CW, and I'm excited to get on the beginners carousel! Thanks for your videos, they are all very helpful to new HAMs like myself!! 73 KE9BAN

Thank you sir. I'm one of those folks who was licensed way back in the novice days but always had key fright. I've taken BC1, BC2, and done a bit of BC3 through LICW and I thank all you instructors very much. I ran into a busy period but kept up with practice on the practice page. But, one day I realized I couldn't just sit there, that I needed to do exactly what you are telling us to. So, I'm trying to make the time to get on each day. Even if it is just to listen and copy in the morning. But I am trying to hunt POTA and got one under my belt. Those of us with fright just need to do it as you say and I'll keep trying. One resource for people I'd suggest is an old book by Dale Carnegie - How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. It speaks directly to this issue about worry. Thanks again for your videos. 73

Thank you for pushing through and getting on the air. It becomes easier with every contact. POTA will definitely motivate you. Sign up to the SKCC too. They are a great bunch and always willing to help new comers. If you see me in there message me. Thank you also for the comments on the LCIW instructors- all volunteers and dedicated to getting more people on the air with CW. 73

Great points!

Excellent video and points, as always, Keith! Perfection is the enemy of completion; further, no one really judges how well or poorly you send when it comes to the early POTA/SOTA/SKCC/LICW exchanges. Hone your skills there and gain confidence. And if you don't copy a call completely, just send what you heard followed by a ?

@@donz7992 agree. Too many sitting on the sidelines wait to get perfect.

A 1989-90 Nye Viking I bought after getting my Canadian licence at 12 wpm. Used CW for a couple of contacts and put it away until last year. I love the feel of it. Better picture on my QRZ page. Some info on these keys www.eham.net/reviews/view-product?id=492
