Fun Fact: D-Day was first used to signify the day an invasion would take place, with the earliest use (I could find) being the battle of Saint-Mihiel during WW1. However, during WW2, D-Day ended up becoming synonymous with Operation Overlord that future U.S invasions were marked with different letters (such as A-Day for the invasion of Letye)

Hey I'm saying this again so holding command key and aiming your camera down it will say REGROUP then let go the squad will follow you also aiming your camera at a point there will be a green circle and it will say DEFEND FLAG when it's a Ally flag or ATTACK FLAG when it's a enemies flag, also pressing enter is the way to get to the battle plan and respawn screen and telling the army to push forward you have to left click on a point and drag it to the point you want them to go to then let go hope this makes sense you need to read the updates to see how to do all of this. Also my favorite thing from WW2 is the ME-262

The P-51 Mustang and B-17 Flying Fortress are my favorite aircrafts of the war. My favorite “tank” is the Kugelpanzer. Only one was found in Manchuria, yes, Manchuria. It’s a sphere shaped tank that people seem to think was made for reconnaissance, but the real purpose is unknown. Looks absolutely adorable lmao

Hey Baron! The beach landing is more intense when you are NOT on the beta branch, because the AI only use the MG42's then, so taking the beach is much more difficult. And yes the LCVP's only work on the beta branch, but its not as intense on the beach, so I would just recommend staying off the beta branch and not using the LCVPs! Awesome vid btw!

Hello baron. 1 those were 30 cals on the higgens boats. 2 these are indeed higgens boats. 3 the water buffalo is cool but I like the spitfire personally for ww2 vehicles, which you didn't show off in this video... 4 that's not a DD Sherman, it's a standard Sherman with deep water wading equipment. Favourite weapons of ww2? To me it's the Lee Enfield and Arisaka 99 of Bolt-Action rifles. Thomson, PPSH, Sten Mk V of SMG's. M1 Garand, M1A1 Carbine of Semi-auto. Of LMG's it's the Bren gun and MG42 and Tokarev, Enfield revolver and Colt 1911 of handguns/pistols.

The main reason for the Allied success at DDay was not the abundance of Americans, but rather the lack of Germans. The allies had repeatedly bombed Calais with artillery and bomber planes to trick the Germans into thinking that they would attack there. When the allies attacked the German armies were ready at Calais, however, the allies landed at the weakly defended beaches of the Normandy. Even though the fights were still tough the only beach with devastating German resistance was Omaha, because there was a German training squad in the region. Also the Allies had dropped Paratroopers behind German lines, to destry bridges and roads, which kept reinforcements at bay.

Soggy Potato yes but this map was based on omaha beach which was one of Americas designated landing zones (meaning only american forces). Omaha beach was also the beach with the biggest battle.

There were 5 different battles over the beaches on D day. 2 Were American forces, 2 British, and 1 Canadian. Ohama beach was the deadliest front because of the natural defensive positions with machine guns and high garrison of german soldiers there. So mentioning the other countries involved on other fronts seperate from this one is not nesisary.
