Great idea for a quick feature. I love my Ninja reel as bought on your recommendation back in the day but I think I may have to upgrade for one of these the line clip and guard look like a fantastic little touch.

Is the line clip a round profile for the line to wrap around or is it just the bit you can see that looks round ish.

Will this reel work for pike fishing? In the 4000-A size? My rod is 30-130G.

Have never seen a tangle around the bail roller in 40 years of fishing so don't know why they'd put a shroud on it...I had an earlier version of the ninja reel and it was disappointing and I only used it once - too much play in the reel handle, they should be solid even on cheap reels. Maybe they've fixed that....

Alright Jeremy… I think I need some lessons in casting off you! I’ve definitely had some line roller tangles (not many, but some) and I think this little tweak will help… as for the play in the handle… I’ve never come across this, so thanks for sharing… maybe a ‘try it before you buy it’s is in order, I’ve genuinely had several of these over the years and love them, but that’s just me and my experience… thanks for sharing yours… hope you enjoyed it nonetheless 👍🏻 BB

I'm sorry, I'm in the same camp , been fishing for 50 years and other than the dab bail Mitchell match can honestly say I've never once had line tangle around the bail arm roller .

I’d go with the ninja personally buddy… but, get a 2000 or 3000 in the old style if you can if it’s for canals and smaller venues 👍🏻 BB

Finally Daiwa have put a real line clip on them, the old clips made the reels completely unusable for bomb and method.

I am purchasing the daiwa Ninja pellet waggler an feeder rod both 11ft rods I'm getting would the daiwa Ninja 4000 reel work on both them rods comfortably?

I believe the new Ninja reels are all the same price, whether you buy the 3000, 4000, 5000 or any size reel.......Bonus!
