I have always enjoyed watching you make your previous Daphne’s Diary journal, although, I never thought I’d be interested in making one for myself. WELL, my mind has changed, thanks to starting playing with vintage journaling. I’ve had a blast and can see how many of the bits and pieces in the magazine can further embellish my journal. Who knew? Honestly Lori, it’s liberating. I’ve been collecting these magazines since they first started publishing and most of them are sat on my shelf gathering dust because they are ‘too precious’ to use, but rarely see the light of day. I love the last journal I made and had a blast making it and I know I will enjoy filling the next one. But I get your reservations as I’ve been there too 💕

Good morning nina, another sunday, a new journal. The binding of it is so effective, I have used it for a junk journal I am making at the moment . Good for you, that you use the magazine, making something new out of it, I like that. I will have a special sunday. I also really like the system for booklets, it’s very practical. Beautiful fall colors, I can’t wait to see the rest! 🤩 Unfortunately here in France we can no longer subscribe to this newspaper, nor have it on newsstands, yet seeing you leafed through the issues and start a new journal makes you want! So I thought maybe with a magazine I can easily find in France I could make one this winter during the long days... I was thinking of the magazine "Flow" which is very beautiful too but less than the Daphne’s diary, I also like another magazine "Open mind" with beautiful illustrations, maybe you know them? This is going to be my project for sure until spring Thank you for your always inspiring videos that make you want to "do, do, do" again and again.👍❤🙂

Excited to use the Daphne’s Diary I purchased for .50cents brand new what a bargain 🎉 from Half Price bookstore here in the States. I saw your first tutorial on the hard cover so I will be attempting to make the soft cover as yourself, I love you can use just twine to put the signatures inside. Great tutorial looking forward how you fill this one so I’m waiting for my bell 🔔 notifications. The Thanks for sharing 🥳💕. Hope your sewing machine will still be workable, it takes one thing to mess them up then you ask why did I put that in my machine been there before. Thanks again. 🥳💕

Hi April, that was a fantastic bargain 😍. Unfortunately my machine is a gonner and not worth the cost of repairing it. However I found a bargain £40 replacement on Facebook Marketplace yesterday and glad to say my new machine is much better quality, sews like a dream, so happily I am back in action. Lesson learned the hard way! ❤️ xxx

For the last journal I loved the front and back covers together as a whole and glued them together back to back, For this journal I loved the images on the outside and inside front cover and I didn’t want to change them. I could have laminated the cover to make it harder, but decided not to 💕

Oh I am so envious- we are four magazines delayed here in New Zealand meaning that we get them months after you get them … why? I have no idea? But I get a monthly subscription and it doesn’t matter which company I approach we get them months behind you people in Europe unless you want to pay three time ms the magazine cost in p/p to get them airmailed from the company as released anyway thanks for the preview on whet to expect. Lovely work!

Daphnes Diary is a beautiful magazine, and I only have a few. However I have never been able to cut one up. Because nothing made with them can be sold I thought I would just enjoy them. But now the price has gone up and they are almost $28.00 Canadian an issue. I think I cut them up and make gifts for special people! They are truly worth their weight in gold and someone should enjoy them! Thanks for sharing your ideas .

For this one, I just use the strength of the front cover only. I did sew the front and back cover together for my previous journal which I do prefer 💕
