it’s definitely not a console mentality boys it’s the overall dayz mentality. the thing is the only real time & opportunity to make friends is on the coast when everyone is fresh otherwise it’s too much risk to trust someone further inland. You don’t know that they just ate their last canned spaghetti or if they like the look of your hat. There’s a million reasons to betray someone but to build a bond for the most part, don’t expect it to happen inland. Find a freshie, use your mic & see what you guys can do! Also community servers are where all the mics are at !

When are you ever not behind trees or rocks not including if you’re in any foliage. They’ll do good in snow maps if u ever played modded dayz ppl always run around with white pattern camo even in green maps as long as ur stationary they won’t see u. If you’re moving it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing human eyes track movement. If u look at camos like klmk the white acts like gaps of sunlight or light bouncing off green leaves it’s fine

I hope they also bring back the improvised bow. It's not that rare to find a crossbow but the stealth is so good and having an early option to build something similar could offer a dope woodsman-survival path with 0 guns.

All looks great! I was really hoping they would bring back the improvised bow as that was before my time. Also more leather working would be awesome. Belt, sheath, flask, holster all interchangeable with the existing ones. fits with the deeper survival mechanics and wouldn't even need any new systems as it's all already in the game files or can just be a reskin. So annoying lugging a sheathe or holster around waiting for a belt spawn. Or you just have the belt and no attachments for it.

it would also be nice if leather spawned at farmhouses because garden lime can be very hard to find at times and it takes up 15 slots so its hard to carry aswell. it wouldn't replace garden lime, it would just be an occasional find.

Honestly at this point I just wish there were more reasons to team up with randoms. Modded servers solve this by having secrets or stronger AI enemies but those are often poorly designed, has no players or are just bullet sponges

I’ve run into some pretty cool randoms before. It’s quite rare to find a good random teammate that’s for sure! I’ve had some shoot me in the back after running for half an hour. I’ve had some die and never be seen again. It doesn’t happen every play through but it’s cool when it does.

I can't stop imagining Devil's castle as a reverse tower defense where more infected spawn the closer you get to it, to the point where there's unmanageable horde(s) that require about 10 player to cooperate to overcome it. I might work on a mod/server to facilitate this. I've also thought of a "Tisy Boss" that's a riff off dead infected piles, where it's almost like a transformer of infected that all gather together to make a giant infected and infected run and climb up to replace those that get killed from [within] the beast. Improved AI could go a long way as well as some ranged infected that can use guns. Maybe a wolf or bear den would spice things up nicely.

@@RavPlayscool u think the omk or patrol camo could work on Livonia or chernarus? White patterns aren’t always bad in green foliage it acts like sunlight bouncing off green leaves like the klmk camo. Or would u think it wouldn’t make too much of a difference since u either get sniped or are already in a gunfight if they’re that close for the camo to matter

Ok, now what i have to know, how will the "traveling between maps" work, is it like you can have one character on both maps uf a host has both maps running like different Servers, or will those maps be merged together and you will be able to cross at certain places to Just enter the other map? I would love the ability to Just change the maps in one game tbh, but i think this could get a bit tricky

If you play on a map and then connect to a server with a different map your character will cross over and you will spawn sowhere random with all your gear (this is due to changing servers not maps but it still happens).

One of the biggest things dayz should add in that wouldn't take much, is missions from npc's or quests in which you get paid. Example a surviving npc that needs medical supplies, or a lost military survivor that needs coordinates.they could spawn in as dynamic events like heli crashes. even bigger missions that require a group... it would give a real reason to play dayz other than just endlessly roaming

Meet total strangers and have vast crazy stories there are never duplicated regardless of hours played is literally dayz. Npc's and repeatable mission is kinda counter intuitive to the premiss of the game
