I totally fell in love with the Yokai Yochi deck, I can understand the hype. I don't mind the gray scale, in fact i think it is very elegant and reminds me of the sumi-e paintings, as someone already noticed in a comment. Also, the cloth seems to depict a small hyakki yagyo- night procession of 100 demons, which is another theme from Japanese supernatural folklore. To a lover of Japanese art and culture, this is a very attractive deck. I would keep it more as a collection item than an actual reading deck though

Yokai Yochi (pronounce "Yo-chi," you were right the first time) is incredibly rich with Japanese myth and folklore in the simplest and casual of ways. I don't think there's any other deck like it. 🤔 I'm largely a secular reader, but if one would like to "work," so to speak, with Japanese spirits, this would be the best one to use. Buboplague put in some work to bring this into the world. Totally valid to not be into it, of course. Thank you for sharing! 🤖🖤

@NiamhWitch I couldn’t agree with you more!!! I have been very excited about this deck because of my love of Star Trek. This is where Insight Editions falls short in my opinion. There is sooooo much material to work with in creating a fully fleshed-out deck on these fandom decks. Star Trek has so much material to work with. They should start consulting with people in the tarot community that are huge fans of these shows/movies to help raise the bar on their fandom tarot deck creations.

@Leslie Kellar Thank you! 💖 And the card stock quality matches most hopefully- I'm so picky about my card stock and a poor one is a deal breaker for myself, so I got it as best I could find, without going into linen and/or laminated. I've been using the sample deck now for 2+ months myself, daily. With postage: we will try and make the internationals marked to fit the If the item according to the recipients lower value requirements, so for you it'd be less than CAN$20.. so you won't have to pay more and more just to receive the things you've already paid for. I truly hope you will love the deck (and quality). 🙏

I did back the Ofrenda Oracle by Carrie Paris and Nancy Hendrickson who wrote the Ancestral Tarot book. Included in the campaign you get the deck, the charms and several Zoom classes with Carrie! I’ve taken online classes with Carrie before (a set of classes was offered for her Relative Tarot deck) and they are truly magical experiences! A great deal for all that you get in this campaign!

You don't have to like it or even try it only because there's a hype or many people like it.

Yes, the Juli deck you mentioned is called Spoopy Lenormand. 💖Kawaii is so cute...the misnumbered card has always just seemed like a quirky misprint to me and I love that deck, especially for Romani spreads. Also I saw many of the minor’s description words that don’t relate at all to the actual basic meaning of the card…one example is their 7 of swords and it says Receptivity…I’m sorry that’s just not even close to what 7 of Swords means lol..and there were others as well

I’m backing the cute and creepy oracle and have the tarot!! BUT, my goal when i’m buying (especially oracle) from a creator I already have deck from is to know that i’ll use it outside of the obvious pairing. I love mixing and matching tarot and oracle, and know i’ll get bored if I only use a deck with one certain tarot and won’t get much use. I did the same process with the little bug oracle recently! My thoughts for pairing the cute and creepy oracle as of now are anything cute and/or creepy😆 The Boo Tarot, Monstarot, Teddy Bear Tarot, Antique Anatomy, Playful Heart Tarot, Teeny Tiny Tarot, Halloween Tarot! I think it’s going to be super versatile for me which I didn’t immediately think, same with the little bug oracle!😁

The Returning of the Panthera Tarot is one that I really loved and hoped you would spend a little more time on it (but it clearly didn't grab you lol). The campaign I think has suffered a little by the stilted translation of the descriptions, but if you can see past that, the deck is so lovely and I like that you follow the story of each cat through the suits. It doesn't shy away from animal behaviour though so probably not one for antelope fans... however, I am a massive Big Cat fan and this is so perfect for me! And the minute I saw the snow leopard on the Swords, I was like "I'm in!" Thankfully it has reached it's funding goal and there's still 9 days left as of 12 July '22

About the charm cast (i backed), she just updated the other day, that even though the stretch goal hasn't been met, she will definitely have the pendants made too and they will be silicone (please read up on this for yourself though I may have misremembered something) and will be pacemaker friendly unlike the metal pendant that has a magnet.

I am 97% sure I'm going to pick up The Slavic Legends Tarot. I had the same train of thought that you did, but the art is FANTASTIC and close enough to the RWS that I want to give it a chance. The other one I've been keeping my eyes on is The Seeking Soul Tarot. You echoed all my thoughts perfectly. I love the softness of it along with the diversity. The vibe of the deck really reminded me of the Seventh Sphere, which I never picked because it always felt like it was missing something. I think this will scratch that itch!

Thanks a lot for doing the video. The untamed spirit animal oracle is wonderous. It's exciting to see only few animals of the many animal guides that are close to me missing (3 of them actually; but decks with ermine or crossbill may be non existant). There are also cards of animals that I like and that sometimes bear messages ... like squirrell, seal or crane for me. So that's a deck be worth considering for me.
